The hotel smelled and looked clean however, small red ants all over the room. Went to front desk and they said they had a problem and moved me to another room. We got there early due to our cruise and front desk was very rude, said rooms were not ready - understandable but told me directly as soon as one of our rooms was clean we could get it. Needless to say our rooms were not ready until after 3:00. They were not very nice and I did not like being lied too.They copped an attitude and the front desk was left empty multiple times.

The beds were comfortable, the havc unit was quiet, and the room was clean. Didn't like that the sink was outside of the bathroom, the ventilation fan in the bathroom didn't work, and that there weren't many electrical outlets for personal use. A microwave was provided, but no convenient outlet available to plug it in. Also had been told the airport shuttle was available 24/7 but it actually didn't start in the morning until 5:15AM, which was too late for our needs.

The property was very close to FLL airport and I stayed for 3 days. The staff were extremely helpful and even gave me a later checkout for no extra cost. The rooms were clean and were stocked with great amenities. Breakfast was included in my coat and the offerings were fairly decent and expected. Unlike the other reviews, both elevators were also working. The pool being closed was also not a dealbreaker for me since I didn’t intend to use it. However, there were some glaring issues. Firstly, the key cards kept getting deactivated and I kept having to go down to the front desk to reactive them. This was a daily occurrence and very inconvenient. Secondly, the hot water in the shower was very very intermittent. One second it’s all good, the other second it’s an ice bath. The hot water was normal in the face basin so I’m confused as to why the shower was so screwed up.

I booked this stay before I checked any reviews. After booking, I saw numerous bad reviews concerning condemned property and pool. I do not leave many reviews but I feel compelled to share my experience. We arrived at the front desk and was immediately greeted and quickly checked in. We did not need to use the pool so I can’t review that aspect. I only needed to spend one night in a clean room and my expectations were met. Upon check out we found a very nice breakfast of piping hot eggs and sausage, self serve waffles, pastries, cereal, coffee, juice, etc. I found no reason whatsoever to leave any negative reviews. It just seems to me a lot of people are expecting The Ritz on a Best Western budget. I would absolutely stay here again!

First and foremost, this property advertises a pool. The pool and the entire wing of this building has been condemed scince April 2024 by the State of Florida. I called the hotel two days before my stay asking about pool and breakfast hours and they just told me the pool hours. No mention of the closure. Security is a little sktchy, I don't recomend for families. The rest is what you expect from a BW in Florida. I can't post the the unsafe builing order posted by the pool but the order # is 116.2.1.2.2
