If you're on the fence, rest assured: book The Maren.
My husband actually booked the stay, which made me a little nervous since I’m usually the travel planner. He let the team know it was our anniversary trip and a honeymoon do-over (we got married in 2020), and asked if there were any special amenities he could add as a surprise. Their response? “No problem—we got this.”
Fast forward to our arrival: after a hectic travel day, we walked into what might be the most gorgeous room I’ve ever stayed in—and I travel a lot. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully appointed, with two balconies—one overlooking the marina, and the other large enough for a full table with chairs and recliners. The floor-to-ceiling doors opened nearly the entire span of the wall, letting in the warm breeze and the scent of saltwater. I was in heaven.
As a surprise, the team had arranged a charcuterie tray, a bottle of wine, and a sweet card waiting in our room. That thoughtful gesture meant so much.
The service was truly top-notch.
Son, who greeted and checked us in, set the tone for our entire trip with his warm and helpful demeanor.
Roger at the front desk made sure we had everything we needed.
Sean’s positivity and local knowledge helped us plan some great activities—even on rainy days.
And Natalie, we can’t thank you enough for organizing such lovely surprises.
Without a doubt, we won’t be staying anywhere else when we visit Fort Lauderdale. The Maren has our hearts.
