Had high hopes for our stay here. Looked beautiful in the photos and previous reviews were mostly positive. Unfortunately, our honest review cannot be positive. Our suite was infested with bugs. Check your room before you unpack! We have never had this issue before so we started to unpack, went for dinner, came back up to finish unpacking and then noticed the bugs. By that point they were in our suitcases. Disgusting. Front desk told us they would move us but getting a suite with 2 beds, similar to what we already paid, for was a struggle. They offered to downgrade us to a room with 2 beds which is unacceptable after we paid a lot for a suite. We were finally upgraded to a 2 bedroom 2 bed suite. This suite was quite nice. No bugs! But, after all this is said and done, it was past 10pm and we still had to comb through our belongings for bugs that might have been brought with us between the room change. It was a long night to say the least. And this shouldn’t have happened. We appreciated that we were compensated with complimentary breakfast. The pool and beach area were both nice. Restaurants were pretty decent. Most staff were friendly. Upon checkout we were charged for a pitcher of margaritas that we never ordered. They left us standing at the front desk for over 15 minutes while they pulled the receipt and sure enough this wasn’t something we ever ordered or signed for. They never apologized for this. We asked if this happens often and we were told they didn’t know?!
