At check-in, we were forced to wait for 50 minutes under the pretext that the room was not ready. I have a suspicion why. The receptionist at the time was finishing her shift (at 3 PM) and likely didn’t want to deal with our registration, so she asked us to wait 15–20 minutes. My patience ran out after 50 minutes. By then, a different woman was at the front desk, who had no idea about our situation. When I expressed my frustration, instead of apologizing, she merely asked if I had been drinking. That’s all you need to know about the competence of the hotel staff.
Thanks to the Expedia managers, we were granted a one-hour late check-out, but we deliberately chose not to use it on principle. This is the first time I’ve experienced such a situation in my life, despite my extensive travel experience.
But the staff on breakfast was very kind. Thank you so much for that!
