“Pleasant service, great place to stay”

“Was stuck in an ice storm and stayed at another Hilton Hotel and didn't charge us for reservation. We love Tru Hotels and had stayed at one 2 nights previously.”

“Spent a few hours here to get some rest halfway on a longer trip. Check in was fast and efficient. I filled out a card with my info, which I found odd, as usually it's entered into a computer from my driver's license. Web page claims 24/7 front desk, but I checked out in the early morning and there wasn't anyone available. Room was comfortable, but the walls are thin. TV in the next room made getting to sleep harder.”

“The check in alone should have been a red flag, it was an outdoor service window. The room itself was awful. It was small and cramped and freezing cold. The bed had two very flat pillows (thankfully we always bring our own from home). My fiance went to put his drinks in the refrigerator and couldn't even leave them in there because it was so dirty. The room didn't warm up enough for us to even be comfortable for like 5 hours (no exaggerating). The bathroom had a tiny little shower stall, and a……

“The property was lovely, as was the proprietor. In fact it was really special. What was not special was our rooom. We paid a significant upcharge for a nice room with a terrace, but it was just roof of a porch, and not grand or luxe enough to justify the upcharge. The furniture was not original to the historic hotel.”

“This is a very neat hotel, but not comfortable to just hang out in the room. The bathroom was beautiful and super modern, which didn’t fit the era of the hotel, but I loved it. I would recommend putting up curtains in addition to the blinds because the hall light beamed in all night. There also is nowhere to get ice or water, so bring your own. ”

“Had a very quick one night stay. Friday night, so even though there wasn't live music, the sound of the bar below was still enough to interrupt my sleep until they closed. Very simple room/bed/bathroom. Bare bones but clean and in the heart of quaint Mercersburg. Would ask for an upper floor next time if available.”
