“Service was excellent from check in to check out. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly. Room was modern, clean and very comfortable. Fantastic facilities to cater for the whole family! Our breakfast was delicious and staff were kind to prepare a special dietary meal for my husband. Will definitely visit The Essex again.”

“I think a lot of people has reviewed on this. But I can only said air conditioning system issue need to be fix. Otherwise it is hard for other customer wants to stay. It is summer time and the air conditioning system not work. All you got is a fan will only have little help. Can you imagine stay in the room with 27C? And there is not compensation. Charging almost 100 pound per night, and it is the sleep environment we got.”

“Great location, lovely reception and restauarant staff. Took a single room which was a great price. bed very comfy. Felt stair and room carpet wasn’t properly vacuumed and maybe needed a good clean. restaurant was very cute; nicely decorated. All in all very happy with the place and may be staying again later this week.”

“What a wonderful place to stay in Suffolk. The food was really tasty and good size portions. I stayed overnight and my room was really cozy, peaceful and had a balcony overlooking the back garden. The staff were super lovely and friendly. I would stay again if I am ever in the area in the future.”
