“Great property and host! I would have loved access to a vacuum so that we could clean up better. But that is just me :) Would stay here again!”

“We had the best stay here!! The history of the house was amazing and the owners have kept it original while adding the modern conveniences. Myself and my daughters stayed and we spent so much time trying to take in all the special touches like the history of the house and of Shirley, very cool to read about! And Duke the hounddog was the perfect touch, he roams Shirley getting love and food from everyone. Perfect place to stay so you're in the middle of all the towns to go and do and experience……

“This was just as listed. It is a cozy cottage close to the lake. We keep our boat at Choctaw Marina, so this worked out perfect for us. The communication with the owner was fast and all of our questions were answered. We had some family visiting the lake on the last day and the owner let us extend our check out by an hour. We will definitely reserve this cabin again.”

“Clean and comfy! Great mattresses! Exactly what we needed! My 20 year old son enjoyed the space from parents in the loft bedroom. I enjoyed using the kitchen table as my sewing station. The men enjoyed fishing nearby. Hubby really enjoyed the live music in the downtown at night. We ate in a couple meals a day so there was plenty of dishes and tableware. Host left lots of snacks so. Really enjoyed those. The Keurig seemed to have bit the dust by there was a drip maker too which is what we prefer……

“The property is a bit deep in the woods but just a couple minutes drive away from some places to eat and the lake. It has wifi and a good amount of space for multiple people. I wasn’t able to find the hot tub mentioned in the listing, but I didn’t ask the owners since it got late into the night before we thought to look for it. The owners are good at communicating with customers if you do have any issues though, and they left us good recommendations on local spots.”
