“Eight of us stayed in Jimmy's home as our base for climbing Croagh Patrick. The home was sited beautifully just outside of Westport and impeccably clean. There was space for eating outdoors, which was a must given how pretty the property is. Jimmy was a great host and timely answered all questions we had before the stay. If you're looking for a cozy, beautiful home in the Westport area, you cannot do better than this property. It won "best house" in our after-trip poll. ”

“We had the most wonderful stay in Katie's Cottage. We met the lovely host Caroline on arrival and we couldn't have gotten a warmer welcome. There was fresh scones with jam and butter and a bottle of wine in the fridge. The house was absolutely immaculate with loads of fresh towels and bed linen. The beds were really comfy and the kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed. The surrounding area is stunning and the cottage was a great base to explore all of this. “La dame est très gentille, elle donne tous les renseignements que nous lui demandons mais la note de 8/10 pour l’établissement ne correspond en rien à l’état des lieux. Deux chambres sont correctes si on ne regarde pas le ménage, la troisième chambre avec salle de bain, la robinetterie du lavabo ne fonctionne pas. La salle de bain principale, une odeur que même la fenêtre ouverte pendant 3 jours n’est pas partie, et les wc il fallait attendre au moins un quart d’heure entre chaque tirage de……

“Our stay was excellent. Beautiful cottage in an excellent location, close to Castlebar with good road connections for touring the beautiful county of Mayo. The hosts Declan and Laura are very welcoming and very accommodating. Absolutely lovely people. A real genuine "Cead Mile Failte" is felt here.
