As an english-speaking traveler navigating the Frankfurt airport, I had trouble finding the shuttle bus parking for the hotel. Frankfurt airport has 3 levels and I went up and down escalators, walking back and forth looking for the shuttle bus. I asked airport personnel 3 times for the shuttle bus location and the first two times, I was given the wrong location. I think it would be helpful to provide a map address for it.
The hotel is very near the airport, which is a pro. However, passengers are all let out in front of the garage area instead of in front of the hotel lobby. It turns out the hotel has a huge park and ride facility that caters to guests who have their vehicles parked in the facility and not necessarily staying at the hotel. A con is we, the guests who are spending a night in a hotel room, all had to walk with our luggage to the lobby area, and carry our luggage up a few flights of stairs to be able to check in.
The hotel sent a link for me to pre-checkin. I filled up the forms thinking it would mean i can skip the checkin line. I still had to line up to checkin and now think the pre-checkin didn’t do anything to expedite the checkin process.
The room, bed, bathroom were all clean and the room was quiet. I had a very comfortable night’s sleep and I’d say in spite of all the cons, it was a good idea to spend the night there instead of at the airport on a 13-hr layover.
