“This historic house and property was perfect for our visit to High Point. The house and grounds are very spacious, full kitchen, beautiful and comfortable beds, parking behind the house, and lots of room. We didn't get to hang out in the house much due to our schedule, but would love to come back. Communications with host were spot on and everything worked like clock work:). Thank you! We so appreciate everything you did for us.”

“Great place, had a lot of extras not mentioned in the description. Was happy to see plenty of towels and linens, although I did not need that much. The washer and dryer is accessed from the outside which is also nice so you do not have to hear a loud machine in an open space, although I did not use it. Short amount of time due to a conference, but had everything I needed. Great neighborhood as well. ”

“We stayed 3 nights for my daughter’s graduation from High Point University. This townhome provided enough room for all six of us and then my daughter too on the last night. We found the property to be very clean and conveniently located to shopping and restaurants. Communication with Mike, the host, was easy and he always got right back to me. I wish I found this place sooner as she was my last one to graduate. If we are ever in the area, I would definitely stay there again.”

“My daughter and I had a weekend getaway in GSO and it was a perfect home base for us. Check in was super easy and the house had all the right amenities. Will absolutely stay there again, especially if we travel with our dogs - it’s pet friendly!!”

“Amelia's Retreat was a great stay for a family. The fenced in backyard was great for the kids to play and the school across the street had a few playgrounds we could enjoy during our stay. The home was clean and nicely stocked with essentials. It also had some of the most comfortable beds we've ever stayed in. ”

“We loved the house- it had great interior design and furnishing, the kitchen was stocked with what we needed, and the location was convenient for the conference centers. There are no sidewalks in the neighborhood, so that made the location more challenging. Also, the house does not seem to be insulated well and could not retain heat even with the electric fire place on. The whole 2 days the interior temperature sat between 57-64 and we could not get it higher and were so cold!”

“Overall, we had a great stay at this beautiful home! We were three couples in town for my mom’s funeral. It was clean, spacious and comfortable. Beds were awesome and we loved the back deck. The hosts were very accommodating to our needs which was great. Downside was there are train tracks very close to the home and the train was pretty loud early in the morning. Only other downside was the patio tv wasn’t working but otherwise would highly recommend. ”

“The house is beautiful as advertised we ended up not bringing our dog with the house is dog friendly. The yard is not fenced in just an FYI if you bring an animal. The house has everything that you need dishwasher soap, soap, and all of the bedrooms towels. The host are very responsive. I would highly recommend this home and we would stay there again if needed we hosted friends and family for the graduation dinner on Sat night. ”

"I like the staff at the front desk very much. Check-in is also very smooth, but the cleaning of the room is worrying. I was thirsty at night and drank only a little water left in my cup. I subconsciously glanced at the cup and then I woke up. There was a small cockroach in the cup. It was alive!!!! Then I couldn't sleep anymore. I checked my bed for cockroaches. It was terrible. And there were a lot of small cockroaches in the bathroom. I killed them before I went to bed. There were so many cockroaches in such a cold weather. This was obviously unusual. I knew that the price was already affordable. I didn't expect too much, but in the water Cockroaches really scared me. I can't imagine what would happen if I drank it. I hope the hotel manager should pay attention to this problem and can't imagine what the summer here will be like."
