The apartment was perfect and in a great location for experiencing everything the town has to offer- walking distance to the shops, restaurants, wine tram, and grocery store. “We stayed in one of the Forest cottage. We loved the grounds of the hotel and the gardens were so beautiful. We booked late and the only room available was one of the cottages. We found the decor to be very dated including the bathroom and it had no air con. The bathroom taps were very stiff. The pool area for these cottages felt like it needed updating/cleaned and the lounger covers on the chairs were in need of a clean and quite dirty. Overall we were quite disappointed with the accommodation.……

“A whole house with all the trimmings, amenities and warm South African welcome of the owner. The fridge contained complimentary butter, home made jam, bottle of wine and farm fresh milk. There were home made rusks and scrunchies. There was complimentary spices to use as well as olive oil etc etc. We were given two dishwashing pods and laundry detergent to use. I've never stayed in a place that is so well equipped. The owners friendliness further enhanced our stay. ”

“Had a Marvellous time - The staff make you so welcome and everything is catered for excellently- from breakfast to assisting with dinner reservations, places to see, the owner even went to get a razor and shaving cream from the local shop as I had forgotten mine, Champagne for our anniversary - I can not recommend this place enough it’s a place of tranquility and splendour.”

“This was a perfect affordable spot for our stay in Franschhoek. It’s a small room, but very cute and thoughtfully planned with everything you need. Just a couple blocks to the Main Street with restaurants and from the wine tram. Would not hesitate to stay here again.”

“Die Sunset Farm ist ein wunderschöner Rückzugsort, wenn man etwas Ruhe von dem Trubel in Kapstadt sucht. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und The Barn ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Zudem ist das Weingut "Blaauwklippen" zu Fuß erreichbar. Wir können und werden die Unterkunft gerne Freunden und Familie weiterempfehlen. ”

“What an amazing view across False Bay! The apartment was very well equiped, with gadgets we don't even have at home! Sitting out on the balcony watching the amazing sunsets occupied most of our evenings. The apartment is in a very secure setting with easy access to the local eateries, golf, beaches and wineries. Wendy answered any query promptly ao everything ran very smoothly. Underground parking is always welcome to get into a cool car! All in all a great stay.”

“Wir haben diese Unterkunft zum 2. mal gebucht und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Als überaus positiv haben wir die Unabhängigkeit vom Load Shedding genossen. Leider hatten wir sehr viel Pech mit dem Wetter. Die Temperaturen waren sogar für deutsche Verhältnisse zu tief. Dabei ist uns aufgefallen das ein 2. Heizkörper gut angebracht wäre. Trotzdem hatten wir eine gute Zeit. Danke dafür”

“Wir haben in einem wunderschönen Cottage übernachtet. Nebenan war gleich ein Pool zum relaxen. Die Restaurants, Weinproben und der Farmshop waren allerdings 2,5km entfernt. Waren, aber mit dem Auto gut zu erreichen. Das Abendessen im Werf Restaurant war super lecker, ebenfalls das enthaltene Frühstück am Morgen. Wir würden die Unterkunft bei einer erneuten Reise nach Südafrika wieder buchen. ”

“The Neighborhood is a great place to stay in Franchooek. I’ve stayed here twice-once with my brother and once with my husband and son. The accommodations are stylish and in great condition, and the location near the wine tram can’t be beat. You can walk there and to several stores and restaurants.
