Historic Texas Rose in May 2025

We loved our stay at the historic Texas Rose home. Hosts provided complimentary banana bread, wine, coffee, sodas, water etc. My husband, myself and adult son stayed for 2 nights in this gorgeous home. I used the claw foot tub and enjoyed coffee each morning on front porch swing. My husband and son enjoyed the hot tub each evening. Will definitely stay again on our next trip to Texas hill country!! Great location for easy walk to all the shops, restaurants, and bars on Main Street. Loved it!! Lori B

Quick getaway

this was a quick getaway for friends and it is an absolute charm of a house. It is clean easily accessible to Main Street and restaurants incredibly quiet with comfortable beds a well stocked kitchen and ample room for a party of four. We look forward to coming back in October and staying here if available

Absolutely Perfect

This house was a home away from home! The home was very welcoming! It was clean, well stocked (thanks for the home made bread and wine!), beds were comfortable, close to downtown and restaurants! This is the second time we have stayed in this home and will stay again next time!! Absolutely Perfect!!

Great place

We stay at allot of places all over the world and Texas is home. This quick get trip showed us what houses should really be. It was decorated like something out of a magazine. Truly wish we would have booked for a week or more. Thank you to the host.

Wonderful hospitality!

This home was wonderful! It’s been, by far, the most hospitable home we have stayed in yet. When we arrived, the lamps and fans were on welcoming us home. There were cookies in the kitchen and chocolates on the bedside table. This home also didn’t come with a huge rule book that some do. It felt as if a family was truly sharing their home with us! The location is wonderful! Two blocks from Main Street and a block and a half from a great coffee shop (and HEB :)). While we were there, we visited Pedernales Falls State Park, Medina river tubing, Enchanted Rock State Park, Luchenbach, and Old Tunnel State Park- along with all the Fredericksburg-y places.

Memorial Day weekend stay

This place was the perfect home for my family’s Memorial Day weekend getaway. It’s just a 5 minute walk to the middle of Main Street, making it the perfect location in Fredericksburg. Communication with the host was fast and access to house was a easy. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was well equipped. Even got to enjoy the hot tub under the Texas stars. Thanks again for sharing your home!

Happy in Fredericksburg

The historic home was beautiful inside & out. The owner had decorated the home wonderful & thought of everything that would be needed to make us feel at home. Everything was perfect & we all enjoyed our stay in the home. We would definitely stay here again.

A Wonderful Mother and Daughters’ Weekend!!

Texas Rose was a beautiful welcoming home. It was furnished so tastefully with many special touches. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine, delicious blueberry muffins, and water and sodas. After days of endless shopping and a fun wine tour is was so nice to come back and relax in such a nice place. It was a short walk to Main Street, and there were many good restaurants close by. We had a wonderful weekend staying at the Texas Rose, and we made so many lasting memories. It was very hard to leave. We would definitely go back for another stay.

A wet Thanksgiving but worth it

We enjoyed the historical cottage immensely. Unfortunately, it rained the entire week in some form. We still managed to shop, dine, and enjoy local attractions and festivities.

The location near downtown was perfect. Hosts provided many extra touches for our comfort. Several cozy nooks for reading, visiting or snacks. Decor was perfect for this lovely home. Comfortable outside areas as well.

Fantastic friends get away

The Texas Rose was fabulous. We just wanted to move in permanently. The 3 of us have been friends since the 1970s and are now retired and enjoying short get aways. The Texas Rose was precious and so immaculate ! We walked to downtown - about 10 minutes. There were homemade cookies and a bottle of wine waiting for us. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. I can’t say enough good things about this place. I can’t wait to return !

Adorable German Home

Home exceeded our expectations. The pictures online did not do it justice. Really appreciated the owners well stocked fridge, coffee and complementary banana bread and wine. Also, the home was immaculate. It was very clean! We felt right at home. Thank you!
