“This was such a wonderful old house to stay in. We were there to put on my mother’s memorial and it was a perfect place to come and have some peaceful moments. “The space was clean, well-distributed. We had options to stay on the first floor or go upstairs. The view was terrific. The kitchen was extremely well stocked - a nice quality given that you are not near grocery stores or restaurants. Terrific sound system (and for our taste, music selection). Those of us who checked out the hammock give it a thumbs up. We had just enough clouds to prevent great skyviewing, but I bet on clear nights the sky is beautiful. This is a peaceful location, but not far……

“We were very happy with this property. I was charmed by the transparency in the property's description of the orange counters and the narrow staircase, and hopeful when I read the reviews mentioning the wildlife spotted from the deck. One reviewer complained about the smell, which worried me a bit. There IS a distinctive smell, but it just made us think of going to our grandparents' cabins as children. I think it's just a smell to be expected in any old, wooden cabin. It wasn't offputting to us……
