“Our stay was purely magical. A perfect getaway for couples to reconnect. The cabin is beautiful as well as the surroundings. We love walking through the trails during the day and at night cuddle by the fire pit and have some s'mores. Owners where responsive and attentive. The description was 100% accurate. We'll definitely be re-visiting and hopefully for a longer stay that time. ”

“This was such a great getaway for the weekend. Everything was clean and well maintained. The hosts were easy to contact and answered all my questions. Great way to learn about living off grid, showering in an outdoor stall and using a composting toilet. If you need to keep some food cold or frozen I suggest bringing some ice. They provided a small cooler. Overall great experience.”

“We traveled to Benson to have a birthday celebration with family from Raleigh. The minute I saw this place on VRBO, I knew it would be amazing. The home was absolutely beautiful and well appointed. The views of the lake were picturesque. From the time we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms by Jerry (The owner) and his staff. What an incredible sight to see. So many beautiful animals were rescued by him. Animals that others either discarded or abused. My husband and I tried to help……
