“I was looking for some respite and a place where I had easy access to hiking, the hot springs, and restaurants. I had a two day stay in Furnas before i headed home to the States. I arrived early and lucky for me one of the apartments was available. Not only that, they have me breakfast. The property is so beautifully laid out where you can hear the birds as you relax on one of outside chairs or in your room where an entire wall is made up of windows overlooking the hills. The house itself is just beautiful, especially the large garden. The house is well-equipped and located in walking distance of all the major Furnas sights, grocery stores, bakeries, and several restaurants. There are two nice beaches in the south, 15 minutes by car. And the area is of course perfect for hiking. Just a perfect place to combine……
