A Clean Stay with a Side of Missing Bacon
Stayed at Hotel Indigo in Celebration Pointe and honestly, I’ve never felt so conflicted about a hotel stay in my life. Let’s start with the good stuff: this place is immaculate. Like, you-could-eat-off-the-floors clean (though given the dish shortage at the restaurant, I might actually recommend it). The lobby was warm and inviting, and the beds? Absolute heaven. I’ve never felt more embraced by a mattress. I considered canceling the rest of my plans just to spend more time horizontal.
Now, let’s ride the elevator of truth to the not-so-great parts. And I do mean ride—eventually—because the elevators had their own leisurely agenda. One was completely out of commission, and the other seemed to be on vacation. If you’re into unexpected leg day workouts via the stairs, this is your place.
Then there’s the restaurant. It’s a bit pricey, which I wouldn’t mind if not for the fact that the service was slower than the elevator. Our server was lovely but clearly overwhelmed—probably because the kitchen had no bacon (a national emergency, if you ask me) and a suspiciously short supply of clean dishes. I half expected my omelet to arrive on a Frisbee. But—credit where credit is due—the food that did make it to the table was absolutely delicious. Worth the wait… probably. Still mourning the bacon.
All in all, Hotel Indigo is a beautiful, comfy place to stay—just bring patience, snacks, and maybe your own plates.
