Although it’s not a luxury hotel, it is clean, and the staff is professional and accommodating. We stayed here from April 29th to May 5th to revisit our daughter's favorite spots in Gainesville before her graduation from UF.
At check-in on April 29th, the young man at the front desk was kind and allowed us to inspect three rooms. The first had a window that wouldn't close properly, and the second had noisy air conditioning. The third room faced the front and was quite sunny, making us worried about warmth. I bought painter's tape at Home Depot to seal the first room's window to keep bugs out at night.
The rooms are spacious, and I appreciated the separate sink area in the bathroom, allowing for privacy. Without area rugs, the room felt cleaner, and the sheets and towels were fresh. I always bring my own pillow protectors and Clorox wipes for added cleanliness.
We also spoke with Jose at the front desk, who was friendly and professional. While hotels in Gainesville can be pricey during UF events, this place offered decent accommodations for our stay.
