“Das Haus liegt definitiv nicht zentral. Das liegt aber in der Natur der Sache. Als einziges zu bemängeln war, dass die Heizungssteuerung etwas kompliziert war bzw. keine Informationen dazu Vorlagen. Ansonsten war das Haus sehr schön, es war alles vorhanden was man braucht und die Aussicht ist umwerfend. Definitiv zu empfehlen, wenn man Skyes Natur erleben möchte.”

“After a long day of driving past tons of sheep from Inverness, we arrived at the house on Skye. It was indeed remote, exactly as we expected. Thankfully, the wifi information was posted visibly in a window so we could check the app for entry instructions, because there was a triffling amount of cell signal out there.Once inside, the sunny kitchen was glorious. The entire house was comfortable, with great views of the water.One night we even could see the aurora in the night sky.The only downside……

“The hillside location gives amazing view across Lochbay.Waternish is a convenient location to get all across the island.The cottage has tonnes of character and is very homely. There was lots of space for the 3 of us.We appreciated the washer and dryer!There is heating in every room and a log fire which we enjoyed in the evenings.The house was immaculately clean and comfortable. There is a large selection of games for children of all ages.We had excellent communication with the owner throughout.”

“Fantastic property with lots of character. Was easy to access with key in a little lockbox, for which we were sent the code. Masses of space, comfy beds and sofas. Well equipped kitchen. Amazing views. We had sheep in the garden one morning.Only issue was as it's an older property there were very few electrical sockets, and those that were there were already filled with electric heater plugs.”

“My husband and I and two friends from the States recently spent three wonderful nights at The Old Church on the Isle of Skye. The beautiful old church has been thoughtfully and beautifully restored and renovated into two 3 bedroom units with ample amenities. We were in the Preachers Rest and had beautiful views of the Little Minch Strait. The stunning grounds of the property were immaculate and lovingly cared for. We would recommend this property and its proprietors without hesitation and hope……

“The location was absolutely perfect, the views were absolutely stunning to say the least. We could not fault it at all, super cosy and had everything we needed. John could not have been any kinder and was super helpful. Hoping to come back again! :)”

“Perfect location for exploring all of Skye, not too remote, but very peaceful. The cottage is clean, modern, and very sunny (when the sun is out!). Owner was responsive to our needs, I would look forward to renting here again.”

“Beautiful house at the end of the island. Stunning view. We got to see dolphins, seals and eagles from the living room.Plan lots of time if you want to explore Skye from here, since it is pretty far out and the roads are only to driven slowly.The house was not quite as clean as we had expected but Alan and Gill were very kind and did everything to correct it.”

“Lovely place to stay to explore Skye. Great central location. The little fireplace is a very special cozy element to the experience of staying here. Absolutely loved our time here at the the old post office. Highly recommend!”
