“I cannot recommend this home enough. I spent a fantastic long weekend here escaping the city fireworks with my dog. We enjoyed the early morning walks and bird watching and relaxing by the river in the afternoon. The house is clean and spacious and the kitchen had everything I needed. I was so sad to leave, and would love to return in the future. The George Washington National Forest is stunning, and this home is the perfect way to experience all of its beauty. ”

Everyone we encountered was extremely friendly (animals included), the land is gorgeous and well maintained, and the spaces were very clean especially considering that this is a farm tucked into the woods. Super easy drive from the state fair grounds. We cannot recommend this enough! ”

“Scenic view of verdant hills with cattle grazing. This is a homestead farm with goats, donkey and peacocks. At night when the sky is clear, you can see the bright stars in the hemisphere. It’s a country experience with a flair of Tyrol Austria.”

“Wonderful, great folks to work with, animals add to the whole experience. Close to hiking we wanted to do. Christine's food at the Cafe was great, Best French Fries ever!!. Chees burger was very tasty as well. Unbelievable weather and anyone we met at local businesses or hiking were nice and very friendly.”

“The only downside to this stay was the inaccurate information given on my hotels.com reservation regarding calling the property 24 hours in advance to receive the access codes for entry. The host actually sends you a text on the day of your arrival with that information. The hotel has no parking, it's street parking only, which really wasn't a problem since we could pull up in front of the building and unload. Glad we were on the first floor - there's a long staircase to the second floor. ……

“If you need a roof over your head for a few days this is perfect for you. The staff was friendly, the area was quiet. The bedding was clean, the water was hot, and there were no bugs. There is a bit of a funky smell but nothing a bit of fabreeze couldn't tackle.”
