“The home is situated up several narrow, winding roads. I don't recommend finding it in the dark. The rain shower shower-head is wonderful, but the shower size is too big for the room. There is no room for toiletries @ the sink. A luggage shelf would be helpful. There are no grocery store nearby. Bring your food with you.”

“We booked this place for 12 adults and it was last minute as the previously booked location cancelled the day before the trip. We doubled up in each room. It had everything we needed plus a pool. It is located close to numerous wineries and is right next door to the brewery. There was plenty of parking for everyone. The place was clean and checkin and checkout was easy. We property manager was quick to reply to any questions we had. The view was amazing especially for the sunrise!”

“Comfy and clean, perfect stay for our girls get-away weekend. Updated 1st floor with new floors. Nicely decorated, super comfy beds. Perfect plase to rest after a day hiking and visiting historic HF. ”

“The cabin was perfect for a few days of writing and reflecting! Everything was very clean and it was easy communicating with the owner. The house is not "secluded" as there are neighboring houses on two sides and if I hadn't brought an ax/saw to cut my own dry wood enjoying a fire wouldn't have been possible. But overall a lovely stay and I look forward to going again!”

“We used this beautiful home for a history trip of DC landmarks and regional Civil War Battlefields. The location was great. The drive into DC averaged about an hour and 45 minutes in the mornings due to traffic, but all the other Civil War destinations were much less and the house is large and very well maintained. The family loved sitting in the hot tub each night after a long day of walking and had the extra pleasure of a herd of deer that greeted us each night next along side the driveway……

“We spent Easter weekend at Sunny Streams with our daughter’s family and really enjoyed this charming and comfortable house. Each couple had their own floor with TV rooms and baths. The kids (3 and 8) loved their bunkbeds, and spend a good amount of time in the well-maintained “hotpool”. We were close to Harper’s Ferry, but it was way too buggy for us to stay long. Enjoyed exploring Antietam, and returning to watch the sunset with drinks on the front deck. Tons of games available for the……

“Dill Cottage is comfortable, cozy and extremely convenient to the Frederick shops, parks and restaurants.Our host was extremely communicative, as well as; providing a booklet with all the information necessary to enjoy your visit.”

“We had a fantastic stay at the property. The home is very charming and the pool is great. The location was also really nice. Close to wineries and hiking. Two points of feedback are that the dishes were visibly dirty upon arrival and all of the mattresses need to be replaced. Everyone in the group slept poorly and noted that the mattresses were uncomfortable. The master bedroom should likely also have a larger bed.”

“Very nice property and I wish the weather had been better so I could enjoy the outside as much as the inside. The home had all the necessities and was in great shape. Loved the artistic touches (wall photos, stove covers, dish patterns). Lots of wildlife stopped by -deer, woodpecker, birds! Would definately stay again!”

“The outdoor spaces exceeded my expectations of the property. There is ample space on the deck, the yard is enjoable with the views and firepit, and the front porch rocking chairs are relaxing with a cup of coffee and litening to the gentle rain.Young adults enjoyed the game room. My only suggestion would be to replace mattress in 1st floor bedroom, it sinks a little. That is a small inconvenience considering that everything else was lively and the kitchen was well supplied with cooking tools.”

“We really enjoyed our stay. We had one hiccup with the code for the front door not working, but the owners communicated immediately to get us in! We really liked the fenced in yard for our dog and the fire pit with fire wood so easily accessible. One thing we learned about Harper’s Ferry is the abundance of gnats!!! Bring your bug spray!! Loved this house! ”
