“Gorgeous cosy cottage with stunning views over the Uig sands. 3 generous double bedrooms, very well stocked kitchen including a double air fryer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, good WiFi. 2 minute walk to access the lagoon of Uig sands, we swam everyday. It’s a remote tiny village which really helps you get away from it all, but lots to do around the place, we did some lovely hikes, seatrek boat tour, visiting Luskentyre beach, and Butt of Lewis lighthouse. “We couldn’t have asked for a better location, perfect for walking to local restaurants and shops, and a great home base for exploring all of the Isle of Lewis and Harris. “The house is lovely and comfortable. It had everything we needed in the kitchen and living space. Very quiet location and so nice to have a washer & dryer. The hosts, Jan & Colum, were easy to reach and very friendly. We were welcomed with a wee Scottish breakfast in the refrigerator when we arrived. Would definitely recommend! ”

“The house overlooks Loch Erisort in a beautiful, quiet setting. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortably furnished with a better equipped kitchen than is found in many rental properties. We found it a good location for visiting Stornoway, the west coast of Lewis, and Harris. The local area to the south and east is also worth exploring. We had a meal at the local hotel which was pleasant, but, we thought pretty expensive, so wouldn’t really recommend that. ”

“Riverview Cottage is a well maintained, cozy, and well-equipped cottage. We spent a week here and couldn’t have been more pleased with the accommodations. The kitchen was very well-equipped. The separate washer and dryer made it easy to catch up with the laundry after a bit of traveling. “Fabulous stay at the Hebrides Bothy. Very comfy bed, lovely and warm bothy, good cooking facilities and fridge. Shower was lovely and hot. Games supplied, and Netflix available too. Bluetooth speaker available for playing music.
Suzanne made us feel very welcome and provided some yummy cakes. She also provided a blow up mattress and extra bedding. Only one complaint about our stay it just wasn't long enough! Thank you for a fabulous stay. ”

“This was a nice little house with everything you need. Our contact was very approachable and helpful. There were nice little details such as little flower bouquets which made it even more cosy. There is quite a loud street next to it, but as we used the place to explore the island this was no problem. We'd strongly recommend the accommodation to anyone who looks for a lovely place to stay in Stornoway from which to do trips around Harris and Lewis. We had a wonderful time. Thank you.”
