Perfect hotel for the destination. My only complaint is that there’s only one elevator so that takes a while sometimes particularly around checkout and the breakfast wasn’t good but for what it’s worth it’s a great hotel

The hotel is in a convenient location. It was clean and the employees were friendly and helpful; However, the bed and the pillows are tired and need to be replaced.

Very nice breakfast. Standout negative is their self parking. Is part of building on first couple of floors. Straight in parking with narrow spaces & concrete support columns every third space. Limited accessible spaces. Distance available to blackout is also to short. Only for sub compact cars. Trucks & SUV-not friendly! Plus parking auto added to charges! Adding insult to injury.

I will start by saying that this is my favorite place to stay in Gatlinburg and we will continue to stay here... with that being said we asked for a river view after booking a mountain view which was a special request through Expedia. I was never told about an upgrade fee at any point during the process until check-in time. The fee was $20 and that was okay, but it was unexpected. I also hate the new fee of $15+ to park at the hotel that I am staying at. Just up the room price $15 if the cost of the room wasn't already enough. That's a sad way to money grab people. At the end of the day we will continue to stay at the Edgewater Hotel because of it great location. It is easy to walk to anything in Gatlinburg in town and out of anywhere I have ever stayed in town this is always "home" to us. I just hate to see such a great place start to nickel and dime people to death especially since the hotel could use a few things here or there. Once again this is the only place we will stay, but this trip wasn't the experience that we are used to. I hope things change for the future.

Edgewater was the perfect hotel for a holiday weekend trip, we were close to everything! Walking distance to all the shops and attractions on the main strip! We also had a great view of the town. Only downside was we could not see the fireworks display from the Space Needle for a huge tree but it was still fun have that view! The place is a bit run down, I’m sure it sees a lot of traffic this time of year. And the elevator was super slow and many times we were crammed in with guests and it stopped at every floor. Again it was July 4th weekend and I’m sure the hotel was packed! Great location, food was ok for breakfast, and staff was nice.

1. The mountain view room did not have any view of the mountain. They had misleading information on the booking site. 2. They took additional fee for parking ($15 per night) which they did not infomr before. I hope I can get some kind of compensation here.

The staff was friendly. The complimentary breakfast was good. It was a clean hotel. The elevators were a little slow, but other than that, it was pretty good.
