“Place had lots of mid century modern charm. Neighbourhood was good. Really good Thai restaurant nearby. Location was good as well within a few k of Geelong West. We would have preferred a firmer mattress in front bedroom. Ovverall I'd stay here again. 8/10”

“The house was a comfortable size for three adults and three teens. Great central location, quiet street with plenty of on street parking available. Host was very responsive to communication. Beds were comfy, great heating for a very chilly weekend.”

“The property felt like home; it was well-decorated, with comfortable couches, a TV with all the apps, a secure backyard for our dog, and the most comfortable bed we had ever slept in. The neighbourhood was quiet, and the location was very central to everywhere we needed to go. Highly recommend. ”

“Location is very ordinary, but I guess we didm’r know Newtown vs rest if Geelong. The real disappointment however was the state of this unit. Very dirty windows/fly screens, stained shower tray and, disgustingly, found a pair of male underpants hanging behind bathroom door. I mean please - do cleaners not check things? Would not recommend this place or CP Property group’s places. ”

“Cosmetically ok, fundementally flawed. Its a dungeon under the rear of the home above. Every footstep in the home above is audible, no air con controls, no TV antenna, Wifi switched off 2 nights out of 3, bathroon way too narrow (hit your head on opposite wall getting off the toilet), unsafe wiring to kitchen area, wardrobe in kitchen, fridge and microwave in living space, no site plan to show that the door is under the rear of the house. Government photo ID demanded for all occupants AFTER……

“This was a gorgeous little cottage in an absolutely picturesque location. Cottage was spotlessly clean, location was quiet and peaceful, scenery was beautiful, and everything was within walking distance. Wendy, the owner, was lovely to deal with - very friendly. We thoroughly recommend A River Bed Cottage for a quiet little get-away.”

“It was an extremely comfortable, well-equipped house with lots of space to relax. My adult son and I enjoyed every minute of our stay! It was also possible to entertain in the generous open-plan living area. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a holiday at the beach in Torquay due to its convenient location. Emma was easy to communicate with, and the amenities were great! ”

bad experience

"The room type provided was completely different from what was booked, very old and dirty. The carpet was extremely dirty, the water flow in the bathroom was very small, and the electronic lock couldn't be locked at first. It took a long time to figure out that it required a lot of force to close it. I asked the platform to communicate with the hotel about the room's problem and was hung up on several times. They only said that it was full and couldn't handle it, so why should I book it? Terrible attitude and very, very poor housing experience"
