Beachside Exuma Villa newly remodeled!Great location near resorts & restaurants

Our villa is only steps away from the sparkling emerald sea. It is located in a private Cul De Sac with 8 villas.The beach in front of the villa is white and sandy, with relatively calm waters protected by Stocking Island. Good food and bars are just next door at the new Exuma Beach Resort and Augusta Bay. Only a 5 min walk to Jolly Hall Beach ( one of the best beaches on Great Exuma as well as the popular local Fish Fry where you will find the best BBQ ribs, fresh grilled fish and conch salad.

Newly remodelled one bedroom villa for a couple or couple with 2 children below 12 years. Brand new modern kitchen and bathrooms. Enjoy the airy living room with LCD TV, high speed WIFI, our fully equipped kitchen with microwave and oven or enjoy free use of our kayaks. Other amenities we have added include cable TV, hairdryer, washer/ dryer. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and the living room has a queen sofa bed with separate bathroom. Villa is fully air conditioned but there are ceiling fans in all rooms. This is a direct rental by owners and not part of Hideaways. You are not required to pay the mandatory guest resort fees of $37/day by Hideaways resort. We also do not charge 6% tourist fees nor $17 per day Energy Fee.
Georgetown is just about 1.4 miles away along Queens Highway for shopping and groceries. Take a short taxi boat ride from Augusta Bay to Chat and Chill for its famous roast pig on Sundays and swim with friendly dolphins and feed a friendly pet sting ray called Sunshine.

Daily housekeeping or laundry services can be arranged for an additional fee but this is a private vacation home and does not include daily hotel services, front desk, shuttle bus services or pool.

Cloe was very accommodating
The place was good for the price. Loved the location. Bed was big which I loved but a little too hard for me. Loved having the washer and dryer in there . The couch was very uncomfortable. Cloe said they are doing a full renovation in April can’t wait to see it all done over.

Prop mgr. very responsive before trip & upon arrival. Clean & fully equipped w/basics. Disappointed restaurant onsite closed for remodel & other local eateries only open on weekends. Beach scene in photo not beach at property. Very narrow ‘beach’ @ property not as pristine with seaweed. Villa is a dated cottage that does not face beach with 3 cottages between rrental & beach. Not allowed to swim in pool or use clubhouse, gym, or complimentary shuttle because owner not affiliated with HideAway association. Spent $20-$40/day on taxis to restaurants & well know beaches. Advise avoiding Exuma during slow season because of shop & restaurant closures.

Everything you need
Things I look for in a vacation rental: 1. Value. Yes, this place is a good value for the nightly rate compared to others on the island. 2. Convenience. Yes, there is a bar and grill on the property that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner so you don't have to drive anywhere to eat or get a cocktail. Also, there is a full kitchen in the villa, and a washer and dryer. Wifi, of course. And cold air-conditioning. 3. Location. Yes, you are a 30 second walk to the beach where you can lounge and swim, and a 10 minute walk to Coco Plum beach which is a world-class, picturesque location. There are also several grocery stores and restaurants within a 5 to 10 minute drive.

Property needs a makeover
The property itself to summarize it in three words needs TLC. The location is in a great area. This property is inside the Hideaways hotel but it’s privately owned so you cannot use any of the hotel amenities . I saw other villas from the actual hotel that were in way better conditions. The room was not clean enough it was very dusty and made my allergies worse. I wish I had cleaning supplies so I could clean the sand and dust myself. The room also had a weird smell all the time. To me it smelled moldy like humidity. The owner mentioned they had just recently painted although it did not smell like paint to us. This villa needs a makeover being in the exclusive beach location like Exumas it definitely needs more care. The only thing we enjoyed was the location since everything was close by and we enjoyed the outdoors more than anything else.

Great place near the beach
We enjoyed our stay here, especially 2 bathrooms. Close to Georgetown, the beach and a restaurant for times we didn’t want to drive. Also great that the grocery store in Georgetown was well stocked. Thank you for your hospitality

Lovely Exuma Getaway
We had a very smooth arrival and check-in. We were treated promptly at the airport by Willy with our rental car that he had helped to secure for us. The property is clean and was perfect for our use. It’s steps from the beach and there are several nearby restaurants. A wonderful base for a stay on Exuma!

Perfect location
Place was very clean and excellent location! even though it's not part of resort the only thing you really miss out on just the pool, and who needs a tour when the ocean is just steps away? The owners graciously offer kayaks to use that you don't have to worry about missing out on availability! Even though you aren't part of the resort everyone is very friendly, and there are three restaurants within very short walking distance. Carol was so very helpful quick to answer any questions I had including a restaurant recommendation. Very gracious hosts indeed! They even had arranged a taxi to be waiting for us when our plane landed at the Exuma Airport!

Perfect
This is the second time we have stayed in this Villa and it’s the perfect location and size. Carole was quick to respond and met us at the villa as promised. We didn't need a thing during our 8 day stay but if we had it’s nice to know they were close by and could help. Everything worked great, WiFi, TV, air conditioners... there were plenty of bath towels ..... and the washer and dryer are pretty much a luxury to have in your room on this island. Highly recommended :-)

Relaxing Bahamas Destination in a Great Location
This rental Villa is a delightful place to spend a Bahamas vacation and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was pretty much just as the VRBO listing states. The villa is located near George Town and is close to everything; airport, markets and the government dock for the water taxi to Stocking Island. The kitchen is stocked well enough with cookware and utensils to make simple meals. There were plenty of linens, bath bathroom towels and beach towels provided in villa. The only thing missing was some paper towel for the kitchen. There is a safe in the bedroom closet, but I was shock to find the safe itself is not attached to anything. The villa is definitely the right size for two and could easily work for a small family using the sofa bed. Restaurants are near by, we loved Mahi Mahi and Cracked Chicken at Splash. The local Fish Fry restaurants are an easy walk from the villa and Shirley’s was good choice. Contact with owners Carole and Charles was easy through the WhatsApp and they were attentive to our needs. As a previous guest has mention in the reviews the villa could use a deep cleaning. It’s livable clean on the surface, but needs some attention to the details. The bedroom A/C unit was not functioning upon arrival, but after three unannounced service visits it was repaired before we left. The rental is part of a resort property with multiple villas and this is privately owned by Carole and Charles. Rental of the villa does not provide you with free access to the resorts offerings, this includes the pool on the property. The pool looked very nice and inviting, but we did not attempt to use it preferring to spend time in the ocean. There are kayaks in the villa which is good because you will not have access to those at the resort. It seems that there is a bit of turf war occurring between the resort owner and the villa owners. This issue was made very apparent after noticing a sign near the property gate that reads: "NOTICE" Villa #** is not included in the licensed hotel program/operated/maintained by the ******** LTD. Hotel insurance coverage/amenities are not included. For hotel/resort services register at the ********* (fees apply). Be aware unregistered guest may be considered trespassers by Bahamian law. Something to consider when renting. In closing everyone we met in Exuma was so very nice and friendly. The locals made our vacation wonderful. So all in all it was a good stay at this VRBO property

Good location
The property is located at /on the Hideaways properties so it is a good location. Close to George Town, the airport and car rental. We enjoyed our time in Exuma. The host Carole was very helpful and very nice. Met us to check us in and gave us helpful information on travel before and during our stay. The villa had information on the area and things to do. The villa had TV and AC in the living room and an AC unit in the bedroom,,,...although the AC in the bedroom was not working as the remote was missing. We still were petty comfortable at night with ceiling fan. We did a lot of cooking and there are cooking supplies there. We did find the fan and light over the stove did not work. I am a stickler on clean and the villa could use a deep cleaning, ceiling fans, bathroom fans, inside the cabinets etc... Otherwise, it was pretty clean. It was nice to have the kayaks available to us ! We just never go t a chance to use them as we were very busy exploring. Over all the villa could use some updating and some repairs, but over all the place was comfortable for us and location great and that is why we booked it.

Fun Little Condo near the beach!
My husband and I stayed here for a week for our honeymoon. Charles and Carole are EXTREMELY kind! They let us check in early because our flight arrived before check in time. They were very quick with answering any questions we had about anything. The condo was very clean! There was two bathrooms and two beds including the pull out in the living room which was so nice to have! The kitchen is stocked with all of the appliances you could need to cook a meal(although food on the island is very expensive!) We did have a bit of a problem with cockroaches in the condo the first few days which is expected on an island. When we told Carole and Charles about the cockroaches they were over in less than 15 minutes with Raid! It helped a lot and we didn't see very many the rest of our trip! The condo is not directly beach/ocean facing however the beach is just a few feet away! The condo is situated in a great location. It's super close to a few fun bars and restaurants and just a 5 minute walk to Jolly Hall beach! I would definitely recommend making the trip out to Hooper's bay to see the turtles! They were our favorite part of the trip! We had so much fun. Highly recommend!

nice cottage at Hideaways, good shuttle service to town and lovely beach with stunning water. good to get a water taxi to stocking island and feed the stingrays, also chat n chill is a great place to hang out. cottage was very clean, lots of towels and beach towels, could have done with a bottle of water in the fridge though, we got here very late as bahammasair messed our flight up and we had no dinner or food as the restaurant was closed at 9 pm. Thus we were lucky to get there in time to get some water and a beer. wi fi password was incorrect and we could not get it for all of our stay but very nice over all.

Siamo stati 4 notti in aprile in questo appartamento e ci siamo trovati molto bene. Si trova all’interno di un complesso con ristorante e a fianco c’e’ un resort in cui e’ possibile fare anche colazione. L’appartamento si trova in posizione ottima per girare l’isola ed e’ affacciato su una baia con acqua sempre calma e bellissima! L’appartamento è dotato di tutto il necessario ed è spazioso. Ci sono anche due kayak a disposizione e li userete sicuramente! Exuma è un’isola bellissima con spiagge da cartolina, spiagge quasi sempre deserte dove ci si può rilassare e caricare di energia. Gli abitanti sono persone splendide sempre pronte ad aiutarti ed è la cosa che ricorderemo per sempre. We love Exuma and Bahamas!!!! Consiglio a tutti di alloggiare in questo appartamento e Charles è pronto a darvi qualsiasi consiglio. Speriamo di tornare presto e sicuramente qui!
