“It is situated in tranquil village around the old monastery. Check in, Restaurant and Bar are in main Hotel Kloster Haydau in approx. 100m distance from The Old Post Station. Private parking in Poststation private yards normally possible. Very friendly staff. This was my second night spent here, first was Year ago. Price performance ratio is splendid, and only some 30kms away from Autobahns, You can have nice and peaceful stay in rural area. I'll definitely reserve a room again.”

“Unbelievable experience!! Loved everything about this castle… if you want to stay in a 750+ year old castle with unbelievable staff, stay here! Restaurant was great, food amazing… Ano (not sure if I spelled it right) and his wife (and staff) were unbelievably accommodating. Highly recommend staying here! Definitely worth the trip and money… can’t wait to come back!”

“In diesem Hotel habe ich 4 Nächte verbracht und meine Erfahrungen sind durchweg positiv. Das Zimmer war geräumig, ruhig und sehr sauber. Direkt am Hotel waren genügend Parkmöglichkeiten vorhanden und auch beim Frühstücksbuffet war für jedermann eine gute Auswahl vorhanden. Hervorzuheben ist die Freundlichkeit des gesamten Serviceteams sowie der Dame an der Rezeption, die den Check-In zügig erledigte und an den folgenden Tagen freundlich und kompetent mit guten Tipps zu Ausflugszielen zur……

“Magical stay in a beautiful castle! I ate the best meal I have ever had in the restaurant and the breakfast buffet was extensive and tasty! My husband said he had the best eggs! It was just a lovey stay, but book a taxi ahead of time as it’s difficult to reach them if you arrive in the evening. Go into Eschwege as it is a picturesque town with a very helpful tourist center.”

“Wir waren für ein verlängertes Wochenende dort und haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Frühstücksbuffet war gut. Über verschiedene Eierspeisen, Thüringer Wurstspezialitäten und Lachs bis hin zu Säften und Sekt wurde alles geboten. Wir würden dort wieder buchen.”
