“Went with 3 couples to bird cheek chalet for a friends 40th birthday. This place is very nice and spacious. There’s plenty of room for everyone to spread out. It’s pet friendly and the road is nice for walking your pet and you can get on the trail down to bird creek nearby. We skied Alyeska and it was about a 14 min drive. “0 complaints, everything was super clean and very spacious for my wife and I. Girdwood was a very cool town, the surrounding houses were beautiful! Not a complaint... but the house was outdated, my wife and i looked at it as staying in an antique kinda cabin!”

“Place was nice and had all the things needed for 2 people. Kitchen supplies were better than most places with all upgrades pots and pans and utensils. Ladder might be a problem for some getting up to the loft for some. Only complaint is the door code was malfunctioning and had to wait for a back up person to come and open the door with a key from the key lock box. 1.5 hours to get in. Owner does not need to have a 10 digit code to open a door. In all my travels 4 to 5 code is efficient. And male……

“We loved how remote we felt, even with surounding neighbors on most side views in the windows. The cozy cabin was clean and it felt like home as soon as we walked in. Everything was well maintained and for a first timer in Alaska and renting a cabin, we were really impressed. Would recommend highly. “Cool little place to spend the night. Even the ducks were friendly. ”

“Never checked in. Waited 45 minutes for someone to show up after “Bill” told us Elizabeth would be there in 15 minutes. Outside property was a mess and looked more like a junk yard than anything resembling accommodations. Filed complaint with VRBO and waiting to hear back about a full refund. Had to find another place to stay on very short notice. This listing should be pulled off your site. ”

“Cozy little place with character. Lost power our first morning and our hosts were easy to contact and very accommodating. We were offered a different cabin, use of a generator, but chose candles offered by our hosts and used The little wood stove for heat and making coffee. We would definitely stay there again. ”

“I can't begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our accommodations in Girdwood. Pat and Lynne were wonderful hosts. The property was just perfect for myself, the wife and our 10 year old. We utilized it as our home base as we skied Alyeska for 3 days. It's close enough to everything Girdwood has to offer. Everything is just a mile or two away. “Worjed perfect for us. Walking distance to lift, or a quick drive. We foundntge Sauna to be a nice ammenity and loved the steam shower. There were 2 families and the split levels offered some privacy in the mornings with a little coffee and MIL kitchen downstairs. Would be an excellent place to stay any time of year!”

“Such a beautiful area, the creek was relaxing to hear sleeping in the cozy but clean cabins. Everything you need! Including two resident ducks, one, Ben, seemed to have a crush on me, followed me everywhere! 😂 I will stay again!! Thank you for the stay ”

“Lots of room to spread out in the condo with split bedroom plan with personal baths, great deck for relaxing, firepit helped us stay warm during the cool evenings, grill was great and used the outdoor pizza oven too! Only negative comment I have is that I had to touch up/clean the kitchen a bit. Location gave us great access to Anchorage and to the peninsula for exploring to the south. ”
