Would suggest a car if you would like to do some town visits as it is a 3km walk to the nearest supermarket but it is a lovely walk along the waters edge. Great host, very helpful printing out some tickets for us and calling taxi's.”

“This is one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. It's a boutique hotel with five-star service. Rosa and Matías and the other staff are phenomenal. They made us feel like family. The breakfast buffet is a huge and delicious spread. There are cafes and restaurants close by, but the street is quiet. It's a few minutes walk from the beautiful Nimez nature reserve. Truly, we did not want to leave this gem of a hotel. Calafate is a wonderful base to explore this area of Patagonia. It was a trip of……
