We had an issue with check-in that took about an hour to resolve, but otherwise we had a highly enjoyable stay. The property is delightful and conveniently central to Michigan things-to-do. It's tucked back into a lakeside "subdivision" that is isolated enough to feel remote but no more than a 5-10min drive to Gladwin where you can find grocery stores, gas stations, fast food, banking, etc. We were near enough to order pizza delivery and found a lovely local movie theatre in Beaverton (7 tickets!). We also had a number of pleasant day-trips to other northern-MI locales with 1-2.5hr drives that included Cadillac, Traverse City, and Mackinac Island. The kitchen was impressively equipped: cookware, dishes, utensils, herbs/spices, basic condiments, etc. The only inventory "shortage" may have been the limited trash bags & dishwasher soap that was easily mitigated with our own grocery bags & handwashing. We packed our own laundry detergent so didn't note whether any was available for guests. The bedrooms were nicely sized with plenty of bedding, blankets, & pillows. The mattresses were clean and average in comfort/support. Those of us with back issues were able to make-do.The bathrooms were clean with some slight signs of age. Note that the property seems to be a modular home, so the tubs in the bathrooms are slightly raised above floor level (typical of this construction IME), and this can make the step in/out of the tub worth extra attention.Would stay again.
