Absolutely amazing hotel! The staff was super friendly and rooms were nice and clean. Offers a really nice breakfast with an incredible view of the city. Very lively in a great location close to everything! We’ll definitely stay there again!!

Great location. Huge outdoor dining area attached to a pub by the square across the street was great. Hotel is right by train station. Not the most luxurious hotel but great value.

The Carlton George exceeded our expectations. My husband said it reminded him of old Las Vegas, but in a good way. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed, the location is fantastic (in the City Centre, 2 minutes from the Queen Street Station), and the staff was excellent - particularly Amy, Gavin, Patrick, and Connor (?) in the evening.

One star for location and one star for the delightful Amy on reception but unfortunately that is it. Room was tired with worn/damaged furniture, dark/dingy, overpowering smell of bleach in bathroom which in fact seemed to hide the somewhat funky smell which appeared once the bleach died down, peeling wallpaper in places and wardrobe door hanging off. Pillows on bed where so flat they were not fit for purpose and it took 3 requests and 24 hours for additional pillows to be sourced, thanks to Amy for saving my neck from more pain. I really wanted to like this hotel but the price point of a 4 star was totally out of line with what we received so we left disappointed. It's understandable that eventually rooms need to be refurbished but until that happens then the price should reflect the below par accommodation.

Great location in the heart of the city, lots of restaurants within walking distance. A short walk to get to central station where we got the train to the Hydro, much easier then trying to drive and park Would use the hotel again.

Location of this hotel is great for Queen Station/lConcert Hall and Airport bus - hotel has a nice Scottish flare - staff were quick to rectify any issues. Found the bedrooms to be a bit stuffy and beds not that comfortable. Fine for overnight.

Carlton george hotel is right in the heart of glasgow city centre. Right beside george square. This is our 2nd time staying here and will be back again. We stayed in the club room which was a huge room and faced on to the city centre. We stayed in room 210 it was close to the lift had a bath with a shower. You get slippers and a dressing gown and some nice arran toiletries. There is also a mini bar which is FREE and these are in all rooms. Plus we got entry in to the executive lounge where you get a 2 and a half hour time slot when you book in. Its from 5-7.30pm or 8-10.30 . There you can help yourself to vodka, whisky, bacardi, wine and soft drinks. Or you can get tea, coffee and hot chocholate. They have some cheese and crackers , pretzels, mini chedders and crisps for snacks. The staff will ask for your room number and name when going in to the lounge this is to make sure its only the people who have booked go in to the lounge as you only get it when in certain rooms and not just a free for all. Any way staff are all friendly and the beds are so so comfotable i did not want to get up out of it lol. Glasgow queen street train station is practically next door and if you are going to the airport the bus stop is right outside the hotel.

Great location for walking all around Glasgow. Free mini bar and crystal decanter of whiskey in the room, as well as hot water for hot chocolate, coffee, and free snacks. Don't bother with the restaurant on the 7th floor, though. Food and service are not great. Go to the pub next store called Waxy O'Connor's and walk around the cool interior. You might get lost!

I can not recommend this hotel enough. It’s less than a minute from queen street station, the staff including Amy when we checked in was so helpful and lovely. Our room had a balcony and was a good size and the mini bar also had decanters and just all felt very decadent. Will definitely stay again. The lounge was great too with again really friendly helpful staff. So glad I went with this hotel

Very good location with many shops and restaurants within walking distance . Cute hotel but roomsneed to be updated a bit. Desk leg just about fell off and the old red carpet has to go but overall great experience!
