“This was my family's second time staying at this home and once again our stay was amazing. Martina and Claire are fabulous to work with and very responsive to messages and texts. The home itself has everything- it is spacious, multiple bathrooms and a large kitchen to enjoy! The location is spectacular!! “We had a great time staying at this property. It is in the heart of Connemara with easy access to Kylemore Abbey, Connemara NP, Clifden, Galway and Westport. The islands are very close as well. As you should expect Irish weather changes on a dime from rain to sun and back in a moments notice. The owners live on the property and are very friendly and helpful.”

“What a home… the view, the space, the location are all stunning. John made the check in incredibly simple and was kind enough to drop by the next day to welcome us. If you’re looking for (somewhat) remote tranquility on a stunning Irish peninsula, stop scrolling. For the very reasonable price John charges, you won’t find better. I promise you! Clean, spacious, well equipped and PLENTY to do within a short drive, you have it all in this lovely home and area.”

“Brilliant house, one of the best that we have stayed in. The views amazing and the house has everything that you need. We had a good chat with the German neighbour who gave us some tips on seeing the seals nearby. We loved all of the beaches in the area and had a couple of good meals in Westport. ”

“Ein einmalig schönes und geräumiges Haus mit schönen Zimmern, toller Küche samt Ausstattung (zerkratze Pfanne wurde umgehend ersetzt) und super Wohnzimmer. Absolut geeignet für eine große Familie oder Freundeskreise. Vom Haus hat man einen direkten Blick auf das Wasser und die gegenüberliegenden Halbinseln Camus und Rosmuck. Der Bruder der Vermieterin wohnt nebenan und ist super hilfsbereit, sogar mit einer kleine Reparatur am Auto konnte er uns weiterhelfen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.……

“Beautiful, spacious property. Practical Details for Americans: they have a water kettle not a coffee pot, so purchase instant or bag coffee before you come, not beans or ground. They have a washer and dryer. You need to bring pods and be aware, it's a condenser dryer that takes about 2 hours to dry a verysmall load (5-6 items). Be sure to empty the dryer water tank. It's muddy on the property, so bring slippers or alternate shoes plus something to put your shoes in to protect your suitcase.……

“Our stay was absolutely fabulous. The host is very nice and helpful. The house is like a palace and the views from the house are stunning. The house is very well equiped, I can't think of anything missing. They even have a 'kaasschaaf' (Dutch for 'cheese slicer). The house is also a good base for walks and trips to interesting sites in the proximity. We highly recommend it.”

“Our family of 16, ages 76-4, enjoyed a wonderful week at Sunnybank house. We loved having enough room (and bathrooms!) for all I’ve rented a lot of vacation houses over the years and never been in one as well equipped! Everything you could possibly need for cooking was there It’s also walking distance (really) to several good restaurants. Clifden is the perfect location to explore Connemara and Mayo.”
