“This place is very close to the seaside, and the decoration is luxurious and grand. The most commendable thing is that the staff's service was very attentive and thoughtful, and the breakfast was also very good. It is recommended to replace the faucet of the bathroom basin and add curtains for the toilet.”

“There were a couple of maitenance issues which we had to work around. The kitchenette is quite basic for the cost of a stay. No stove or oven. Location is good, however you have to carry everything up quite a few steep stairs.”

We liked the kitchen which got all the cooking wares but not sure if there is cooking oil or seasonings. The electric stove was slow to turn on. The host has provided the eggs, milk, tea bags, coffee and juice as well as bread in two sandwich boxes so we could prepare our breakfast. Everywhere in the house, kitchen and bathroom are clean. “Wonderful position with a view over the Derwent river. Squeezy parking and wouldnt cope with a large vehicle or a van. The road in would be difficult with a van and no area to turn around. No problems if youre just travelling in a car.”

“Amazing place and outstanding service. The place is beautiful: elegant colonial building and the beautifully furnished rooms. We spent 4 nights at the spacious regatta suite. Breakfast was excellent and Denise was very kind - it was nice to dine together with the other guests and chat. The only downsides are that the place is located on a busy road across from a gas station. Yet, once you are inside you cannot hear that.”
