Need to shop in Donegal as there aren’t any food shops nearby. Also need to drive for Pubs/Restaurants. Otherwise it’s a nice place for a quiet retreat. ”

We enjoyed walking the strands with old and new friends, meeting up for lunch dates with Bill’s cousin, visiting other cousins and friends! Our friends, who traveled with us,thouroghly enjoyed the comforts afforded at Hilltown, the beauty of the country-side and exploring what Donegal has to offer. We went to Slieve League cliffs one day (beautiful not to be missed!)Donegal town one day and had a delicious meal at the Blueberry Cafe and explored the town and Donegal Castle. We ordered food from TJs takeaway and ate in Mac's pub. ( Edel is an absolute angel) We went to the Marina Cafe in Killybegs 2 times. Everyone was so so friendly!! We loved our little place in Dunkineely....we felt like locals. Everyone knew of it when we shared where we were……

“Sligo was such a quiet and charming place. We enjoyed our time there. We stayed in Riverside Hotel for 1 night, the very spacious room, nice staff and delicious food gave us very good impression. The room was just face the river, which had amazing view. After checking out for days, we met some unhappy misunderstanding with the hotel, but finally the hotel management dealt with it effectively.”

“We had a Seaview room which was lovely. We had a great view of the sunset from our room. we only had one meal in the restaurant (not the main one where you need to book) and would not rate the food as good. The bed was ok, not great, and the pillows were hard. The room was so hot on arrival and even though we opened the window, it did not cool down enough for a goods night sleep. The windows were dirty and had lots of cobwebs. Room staff good, we did not require our room to be serviced but they……
