“Great spot! It is a bit small but for the three of us it worked fine. The only downside is there is no where to leave baggage except in the living room. The hot tub was great. The setting was beautiful. The host was great at communicating. Although directions to the location seemed complicated, they were easy to follow and we got thereThe first try. The host responded in a very timely manner to all requests. The location was at least 15-20 minutes from downtown Reykjavík butItWorked out really……

“Cottage is located close to commercial/industrial area and a golf course. Nice view. Stayed there for one night, 4 persons (3 adults and a teenager), which worked quite well. There's a grocery story, pharmacy, manned gas station and Thai restaurant/take out place within a couple of kilometers. Clean, new, well-kept cottage, but not super large - it worked really well for a one night stay and could have worked for a night or two more, but not for a longer stay. There's no onsite reception or……

“Vi havde et dejlig ophold i den hyggelige, store hytte #1. Den lidt ældre hytte havde sin helt egen charme og var meget pæn og rengjordt ved ankomst. Børnene elskede den store hems hvor de sov og kunne se ned til det store køkken/alrum. Selve køkkenet var godt indrettet med stort køleskab, 4 kogeplader, ovn og vask. Vi har dog savnet nogle køkkenredskaber som fx. en palet eller en osteskærer. Hvis man har tænkt sig at booke et længere ophold i hytten er det måske godt at vide at der ikke er……

“I loved this cottage and was so sad to leave! I have never stayed at such a comfortable and cozy place. We arrived late at night and it was such a breath of fresh air walking into the cottage. Everything was just perfect. The beds and bedding were so comfortable. We were close to the golden circle and south coast so a slow exploration of the area was possible. ”

“The view from Stekkar is breathtaking! Farmland below, lots of horses and sheep, river, church, skyline of glacial mountains where the sun sets. We really enjoyed being in the countryside, relaxing environment.Enjoyed the hot tub multiple times. Beds were comfy, kitchen adequately stocked. WiFi good overall, especially with two twenty-somethings. We used the grill a couple times after visiting the Farmers market just down the road with great fresh produce and local meats. Good location for us……
