This is our place that we have been going to for the last 4 years, as our anniversary get away weekend. Will definitely continue to be coming here. Beautiful views, the hiking options are beautiful, definitely would suggest cramp ons and or snow shoes as you climb elevation however each year we have noticed the ice thaws out sooner and the area is warmer than the year before. Have a bunch of great things to say, however this was our first experience where we feel that the room we had stayed in had poor ventilation as when we first entered the room we noticed the smell of smoke from the tenants prior to us. Shrugged it off as its expected when you have a fire place n your room. However, when we lit ours for the night the room became quite hard to endure with the potent smell of smoke. The smoke detector was functioning as the tenant above had triggered theirs, but had me questioning in during the stay as we were concerned of our little one having to breathe this in.

You can’t beat this beautiful lakeside location. The property was gorgeous and the food was exceptional. Eliza was our server for lunch and dinner and she was amazing. We loved our lakefront cabin and the hot tub. Once the day visitors are gone, you really have this place to yourself. Unfortunately we had to wait over an hour and a half past check in time for our room to be ready with little more than an apology from the front desk. We had some other service issues with the front desk staff as well and it seemed most of the staff was in training.

The staff were the nicest people we have ever encountered. The unit we were assigned was unacceptable... needed a complete renovation. Dark, smoky, rotten boards on the deck and i almost feel thru the rotten railing on the deck. When I complained, they were kind enough to transfer us to another unit but charged us another $94.00 on top of the $400 we had already paid. Many other units are in need of immediate attention.

Property is defintley dated, wifi in limited areas. The rooms were older for sure but they were comfortable. Service was great and beautiful views. You can’t park at lodge and they have great shuttle but just to be aware.

The staff was amazing and the location was perfect. The room was okay in general except for the fact that it was not clean. We stayed one night and because we came to the room late night, we did not realize the blood stains in sheets, urine stains on the toilet, and unvacuumed carpet until morning. I understand, the hotel was understaffed at the moment. However, I still do not think it was acceptable, especially, considering the one and a half hour late check in. Otherwise, everyone was so kind and helpful!

We had a very quiet stay in the mountains. Emerald lake is so beautiful to enjoy. The view is spectacular. The weather wasn’t great for the first day we stayed there. But our family enjoyed the wood fireplace a lot in the room. There is no wifi in the rooms, only in the historic lodge/lobby. Breakfast is great for the view and for the price. I recommend prepare some snacks and water bottles prior to get into the lodge since overnight parking is away and you need to wait for shuttle bus and drive around for quite a while to go to restaurants or shops. Staying in the hot tub let you enjoy the best view point of the lake. Hiking is nice. The day parking is not easy. If you want to enjoy the quiet time in this area, we recommend staying for a night to avoid parking issues and to enjoy the restaurant here.

This was the best place I have ever been! This is the best place for people who want to unplug and unwind and recalibrate their internal campus. The scenery, the silence, the smell of firewood everywhere and the peace in this lodge is extraordinary! You need to experience it, it can’t be defined in words! It’s like you know the place for years and you are back to your safe zone!
