I was disappointed with this property, especially given the price. It cost over $350 for one night for my family of 4. The breakfast selection was very limited, and the pool didn't open until 9:30 in the morning, so we couldn't make use of it before we had to check out.

Wasn’t terribly impressed with breakfast. The pack and play was in rough condition. Stingy on the pillows and towels. But the staff were very friendly, the beds were clean and sleepable, and the doors locked. But for almost $400 a night I’d hoped to be able to eat more than some scrambled eggs for breakfast (as a celiac) - there was no sausage/bacon/potatoes/yogurt.

I like the clean, rustic vibe of the property. I didn’t like that the Reception area was usually empty and the staff slow to respond. Also didn’t like that you could be charged a $10 cleaning fee if dishes were left in the sink. This is treading into Airbnb territory.

This was my worst experience with a booking with Expedia so far. The property was way below the expectations given the price and reviews. There was no hot water in the bathroom, no lock in the bathroom, the refrigerator was not working, there were not enough pillows to name a few of the issues we had. The breakfast was pathetic with very limited supply and we had to ask the staff repeatedly to refill.

The check-in process was very convenient, and the location was fairly easy to find. The room was very damp, and the bedding caused some skin irritation. The bathroom toilet was not cleaned properly. The swimming pool was nice.

This was a much older and shabby hotel. We had to climb stairs the get to our room with our stuff. Pool was good for the kids. Very expensive for an “OK” hotel.

Staff were nice and accomodating. Place is in convenient location. Room looked clean but smells moldy, the aircon is blowing like a moldy smell air. Parking is adequate. Breakfast is below average.

Decor is outdated and lots of unnecessary furniture to walk into. Mattresses are worn in. Waterslide was great but the whole pool is very deep for young children. Overpriced due to location/season.

We stayed in the motel for one night as we were adding through. The room was comfortable and clean. The pool, hot tub, sauna were enjoyable. The breakfast had eggs, pancakes, cereal, toast, fruit and yogurt.

Grossly overpriced for the equivalent of a 1970's era Motel 6. Only pros I can think of was that the water pressure and temperature in the shower were good, and the beds & pillows were adequate. Cons include a super cold and overcrowded pool & waterslide, a "designated smoking area" placed directly at the bottom of the stairs leading to our room so despite having a non-smoking room we got to smell cigarette smoke all the time wafting up to our room or every time we had to access the stairs and our room, and a joke of a breakfast buffet which included nothing for hot protein beyond gross powdered eggs and a single coffee machine that took forever to make one cup so the lineup was long for that, along with too many chairs and tables packed into the crowded space. If I were ever to river raft in Golden again, I would find a campsite in town to crash in before staying here again at a rate comparable to what I paid for an amazing stay at the Rimrock in Banff!

The price (which is high) does not justify the amenities of this hotel. The Ac is loud, mosquitos in the room, the vent of the bathroom super loud, dirty rug, outdated, you can hear everything in the rooms beside and above yours, service is not charismatic at all. For such a lovely touristic place Golden is, this hotel is more like a motel in the highway.
