“The property had a few drawbacks during our 4-day stay in Scotland. While the overall experience was generally positive, there were a few areas that could use improvement: The beds were not very comfortable. They were two separate single beds pushed together rather than a proper double/queen bed. This caused the beds to shift and separate during the night, disrupting sleep. Additionally, the beds were at slightly different heights, which was awkward. Sound insulation from the ceiling was poor.……

“Property is situated in the grounds of Spital House and it very quiet. Cottage is very spacious and was very clean and is well stocked with essential equipment. Liked the small welcome pack also the pint of milk in the fridge. The stables are directly behind the property and the horses where in the field every day. Found it difficult to find as directions from the post code take you to Paxton so better to set google maps for Spital House this takes you almost to the front door of the cottage.……

“We had a fabulous family stay over Christmas and New Year. Plenty of space to spread out for the whole family. Comfortable beds, clean and warm house with everything you need in a beautiful setting. “All was great. This is a working stable with horses and those many that have to care for horses, plus at least one friendly dog. You felt welcomed and that was appreciated. With a 15 minute drive you are in North Berwick and so close to John Muir park and Seacliff. Seacliff is special. The only, and minor, negative was that it was not a peaceful place when we were there- lots of tree trimming (Chain saw) and chipping- so very noisy at times.
