“A music concert was held in the garden opposite to the hotel with closure of road outside the hotel during my stay. “Had a one night stay following a trip to Hobbiton movie set. Stayed in chalet Frodo which is only a 10-15 min drive from Hobbiton.The chalet is very clean and well appointed. While quite compact it had everything the two of us required for an overnight stay. We had dinner at Osteria restaurant in the main centre which is only a 3 min drive away. Thoroughly recommend Osteria for quality of food, portion size , atmosphere and price”

“Perfectly located close to the beach and with everything you need ,very quiet and comfortable. We were lucky as had beautiful sunny weather all week so enjoyed our walks along the beach every day. We found Waihi very interesting too which wasn't far away. We'd love to come again very soon.”

“We booked this location over a duration of several months, which required ongoing communication and coordination with the property manager. This process was one of the easiest and most pleasant I've experienced. The house was always clean and well maintained on each return; spacious and practically laid out; and well equipped to cater to all basic needs. Instructions for the house were clear and simple. A lot of extra attention was put into smaller details that made all the difference to improve……

“Two minutes walk to the beach. Comfortable and warm all facilities clean and tidy. The stares are a bit narrow; however, it didn’t cause us any problems. We spent lots of time out on the deck with a view of the sea. We contacted the owner as I had a problem (my fault) with the lock safe and she was very pleasant and helpful. We will use this accommodation again in the future. ”
