“We loved our stay at the wonderful cottage directly by the sea. We found it perfect at any weather. If it's sunny, enjoy the gorgeous view from the garden with the patio and if it's cold and rainy, huddle up in the livigroom by by the fire. It's wonderful to wake up, open the (really thick) curtains and see the ocean! Claire is the perfect host. Always available via chat if there's a question and lightning-fast with her replies. Johnshaven is a short dog-walk away with its pretty small harbour……

“Absolutely fabulous apartment. Everything in it we needed plus plus. Very clean and everything worked. Richard was very communicative and suggested things to do, places to eat etc etc. The only negative was that it was on a busy street and therefore very noisy during the day.”

“The house is great with a spacious living room and separate kitchen - both with dining areas.The living room, master bedroom and shower room all boast views of the beach, North Sea beyond, and the boardwalk. Market Square with shops and pubs is a three minute walk away and the Harbour about six minutes walk.The beds, couches, and chairs were all very comfy and communication with the owners Kath and Neil was quick and straightforward.Would definitely recommend.”

“We had a great long weekend in Oct/Nov. The village is fantastic with a traditional butcher, farm shop and amazing cafe, all on a lovely high street. A wonderful park across the road which the dog loved. Lots of amazing walks nearby. The flat was cosy and there were some lovely treats on arrival. Great for dog owners too. ”

“Amazing cliff top sea views gorgeous empty beach. Quirky accommodation with all you need for a short stay. Host was a very friendly and helpful guy. We went by train but a car would be beneficial as although not far from the village it's a little remote with unlit dirt tracks probably ok in summer but not recommended coming home from the village pub in the dark. The beach was down a step path but was amazing vast and empty. Wouldn't recommend if you have mobility problems the space in the……

“A wonderfully located, very well-equipped, large two-room apartment with every comfort. A large, bright bathroom with daylight, with shower, towel warmer, good beds, small kitchenette with oven and large dining table, no equipment missing. Very, very friendly, warm owners who were easy to talk to about everything. No restrictions at all - day trips to Dunnottar Castle, Fraser Castle, Aberdeen etc. are possible without any problems. Highly recommended apartment that corresponds exactly to the……

“On a spacious site by a river, we were welcomed to this superb accommodation by casual and friendly hosts and enjoyed the sporting facilities like golf, tennis, snooker walks and cycling and as well as the castles, restaurants and other amenities in this lovely area. We had only one infant but he too was well catered for.”
