When renting our home please keep in mind we are in a very rural area, you will be on 36 private acres in the high desert. It is very quiet and peaceful, and our house is surrounded by unbothered desert, the natural foliage you will find on the property is mostly pinons and junipers, greasewood aka Creosote with an occasional prickly pear cactus or hedgehog cacti.
With nature comes wildlife, from coyotes, owls, elk, deer, javelina, hawks, jack rabbits and bobcats to the smaller critters like, birds, mice, snakes, desert gophers and depending on the time of year some bugs (butterflies, moths, flies, crickets, spiders, ants), you never know what might be foraging by.
No need to fear, the desert and mountains are their home too and they make the desert magic come to life. That said, although we do our very best to keep our home pest free, there are times when some wildlife will come inside (usually spiders/flies) we usually find them by the windows. The house and surrounding area is sprayed after each guest for potential visitors.
Try to keep windows and doors closed to prevent them coming in for a visit.
