“The remodel of this cabin is gorgeous! The photos in the listing are accurate and authentic. The location is fantastic! It’s about a 2 hour drive, or less, to most locations in the UP, so day trips are very accessible from this cabin.Communication with the property owner was seamless, prompt, and precise. You will absolutely love this charming cabin!”

“The host was very responsive to questions and suggestions, the house was very clean. Would highly recommend staying there. I will definitely stay there again. The location is great. ”

“We started out with one daughter and her family that live in the area. Then they went home and another daughter and her family came to stay. Because the other family lives nearby they came in for some day trips too. We loved the ease of staying, especially check in and check out. Very casual. I’d recommend this place. The location is great too. One fun thing was the comment in the listing that was something about being within sight distance of the lake. Only if you have a drone in your pocket.……

“Beautiful property right on the river. Enjoyed paddling to the beach, fantastic kitchen, patio and fire pit. Close proximity to local attractions, including 5 miles away from Grand Island Ferry (awesome day excursion!). Thank you for a wonderful accommodation!”

“This is a nice, modern, cozy cabin which is close to everything Munising has to offer. It is tucked away in a little clearing down a dirt road so you get the experience of being away from it all in the woods while remaining close enough to the sites. The stars at night were beautiful. The owners are absolutely wonderful. The caretaker was very kind and baked us cookies. The beds are comfortable, and the water pressure is good. The stairs to the loft are steep with low clearance, so best suited……

“Had eveything we needed from hot tub to kitchen utensils, dishes, cookware to wifi. Private. Quiet. We grilled out, but didn't take advantage of the firepit. Lots of hiking trails, beaches, and falls.check out. Would totally stay again. ”

“We were really happy with the cabin. It was well appointed and had everything we needed and more. The secluded location was excellent, Pictured rocks and downtown Munising were within a convenient distance. We would definitely stay here again in the future, very nice place. ”

“This was our second time staying at the Log Cabin Retreat (2018 with friends, 2025 with family). The cabin has a great location close to the trails and Pictured Rocks. It was well appointed with everything we needed, and we would definitely recommend this place to anyone. ”

“We had a wonderful time at your secluded cabin. It was such an awesome little lake ,so clear we watched turtles and fish. Enjoyed kayaking, swimming, bonfires and watching sunsets. Took hikes on trails and picked blueberries. Amenities should be updated to say bring own linens and towels as they are not provided. Owner did contact us few days before our stay to inform us. Hope to be able to return again in future. ”
