The elevator only half way worked and there was stains all over the beds the blankets the showe curtain had red stains you had to move the microwave to use it because it was tucked away in a spot that wouldn’t reach an outlet and it looked very sketchy all around the hotel

Everything was pretty dirty and in disrepair. The pool and restaurant were closed for cleaning or renovations or whatever and had been for awhile despite the website advertising a pool and restaurant. Tried to reserve a suite beforehand but was told rooms were decided at check in. Tried 3 new room keys up and down a barely working one elevator and finally had to just switch rooms. Needed more pillows as my wife has scoliosis and requires them to sleep well and was brought dirty couch bolster type pillows with no pillow cases. At least they tried and staff was not rude just under trained and not enough resources.

Loved that it was just off the freeway and easy to find. The lady at the front desk for my check in was absolutely amazing and accommodating of my unplanned early arrival and got us into a first floor room. I didn’t like the dirty looking carpet, or the shower head. Both are Very outdated and needs replaced.

Overall, a nice location close to downtown Grand Rapids . A very comfortable bed. Also, the chairs in the room were comfortable too. Lots of parking, good coffee cafes are 5 min drive away. We recommend field and fire. There was a nice pool but the gym did not have any upright spin cycles. The room rate made this a pleasant hotel and great value.

This is the type of hotel that hides cameras secretly in the bathroom. Meth heads outside. Not secure. Not clean. We reserved lake view. What we got was HVAC view. Hotel could not accommodate and stated no lake view rooms were left, however the acting supervisor stated we are not guaranteed the rooms we book on third party sites such as Expedia.

The staff was kind but not helpful. We checked into our room with two queen beds when I originally booked the king room. They said they ran out of king rooms even though only two of the seven floors were being semi occupied. They called it an upgrade and “wouldn’t charge us more” even though the queen rooms are less money, so again, not an upgrade. The room was dirty. There was hair all over the bathroom and on the shower walls. The shower head made a terrible screeching noise, probably because it was being held together by a literal hair tie with hair still tangled in it. The bed sheets and pillows smelled like they hadn’t been washed, the duvet did not have a cover and was visibly dirty with a bright pink substance that we also noticed was on the ceiling above the bed. The lobby smelled heavily of cigarettes and there was cigarette butts inside of the stairwell. The walls are paper thin and since they grouped everybody who was staying there onto two floors, we could hear everything all night and day from the other guests. The other reviews seem to have a common theme and it looks like we won’t be able to get our money back. We won’t be back.
