The staff was excellent, with wonderful polite, quick service. All 4 reservations checked in in record time. Great job. The staff in the restaurant were pleasant and made our meals very enjoyable. The only issue was one of the room doors was very difficult to open as it was tight in the doorway and could not be opened by one of the quests in that unit.

Room is nice, clean.. staff is nice. Just room is smaller then pictures lead on .. and very dark. Lighting isn’t good. But that’s ok. All things considered it’s a good place to spend a night or two

A number of years ago, the Podollan was the gold standard for accommodations in Grande Prairie. Now it seems the owners don't care as much about the Property as they should. The Property is showing it's age, rooms and hallways are old and tired (our room had a terrible, uncomfortable bed, water damage stains all over, a hole cut out of the carpet, a weird disgusting Febreeze smell trying to cover up something nasty, and signs of previous use everywhere). The elevators sound like they're going to stop working at any minute. The breakfast (while limited to 2 choices) is the only mediocre improvement after the covid era (where you only got one sad option). Before covid, they used to have a full hot breakfast buffet and serve great Seattle's Best or Starbucks coffee and the upkeep and maintenance of the Property was excellent. Now they serve Mother Parker's coffee and the breakfast, while unimpressive, is better than continental at a Days Inn, but not by much. The staff are friendly, but it doesn't make up for all the shortcomings. What happened?

Really comfortable bed. Pillow sucked. Blinds didn’t completely keep the daylight out in the early hours. TV was awful. Remote didn’t work TV was really small, especially for the room size. Service kept coming in and out causing interruptions to the content. The bathroom was big and beautiful and the shower was big. Oversize tub was incredible. Bathroom could’ve used a towel hook or two close to the shower but nevertheless not an issue. Room was really clean and lots of space. Small fridge, ironing board, coffee pot, and ice bucket present but no hairdryer present that I could see. The complimentary breakfast was basic with limited choices and quantity.
