“We loved staying at the Casita del sol cabin. Took a vacation to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday on 4th of July. We choose the cabin we did because it was off the beaten path and cozy looking yet only about 40 mins to Montpelier and maybe an hour or so to Stow (via as litle highway as possible.) “ We had a very pleasant stay! The house is bright, open, airy, very clean and comfy! The kitchen was well equipped and had ample counter space. The bedrooms were roomy and the bathrooms looked new. The photos are accurate. The house is located in a quiet spot in the woods up a steep dirt road. We heard a lot birds in the morning and saw a black bear. The location is convenient to Waterbury and Stowe. We enjoyed the hiking, biking, swimming and kayaking in the area. Tom replied……

“A few days before arrival, we were sent an email containing instructions for the property. These instructions were addressed to another individual and dated 2021, which seems to be an indication of the last time the property had any attention. Arrival was fairly smooth, following the instruction sheet. The exterior of the house was somewhat worn, with sections of missing gutter, worn paint, and loose entry steps. Inside, both the garage and in the main living area were cluttered and dusty. It……

“This home has it all! Beautifully decorated, cozy fireplace, spacious private surroundings, the BEST claw foot bathtubs, mountain and star views magnificent! We had 12 people and the home’s size afforded us all plenty of privacy. Great stove in kitchen. Plenty of firewood stacked. Off grid living was cool! No TVs! Such a needed break from the seasonal chaos! Highly recommend ❤️”

“I loved this place. It's a rustic cottage with all the amenities. It was near the university so it was easy to go back and forth. It was clean and cozy, tucked away in the foliage. The host and hostess were very accommodating and responsive. I hope to stay here again next year. ”
