We arrived in the evening, and the receptionist was very helpful — he even managed to solve the parking issue, as our BMW X7 didn’t fit into the regular garage. They brought our luggage into the hotel for us, and we received our room keys.
Unfortunately, the hotel itself is in terrible condition. The carpets were filthy, smelly, and worn out, and the rooms looked completely run-down. I’ve attached photos.
We didn’t initially say anything, but the receptionist asked us how we liked the room. When we showed him the photos, he upgraded us to the most expensive suite. While it was slightly better, it still felt unfinished. The walls were unpainted in places, the bathroom had exposed 100-year-old wooden flooring behind it, and the TV was oddly placed in the middle of the room.
At its current state, this hotel is on the level of a low-grade motel. It desperately needs renovation — it’s outrageous that it’s allowed to operate in this condition. I can’t believe no authorities are inspecting places like this.
Even in the restaurant area, chunks of plaster had fallen from the walls.
