“Monteverde was very nice. It was clean and relaxing. Unfortunately, the water well went out during our stay and we were moved to another cabin. The 2nd cabin wasn’t as big or nice. I understand that things happen and certainly appreciate that they were able to get us in another cabin. I would have hoped that they would offer to reduce the price of our stay. They did not. ”

“The stay was super easy and beautiful views. We got lucky with an awesome snow storm and the windows in this place made it feel like a movie. Awesome pond out back and some great trout streams and some great lakes too for the fly fishers. 5 min drive from great steaks and drinks at Molly butlers and the lazy trout is a good stop for some fish info. All around love Greer and this is my go to spot to stay for now on!! ”

“Cabin was nice, not as well stocked as others we have stayed at. No dryer sheets, no hand soap, and the hot water was good for only one shower. Bedding was great and the games were a huge hit! Kitchen dishes and cooking appliances were very nice.”

We all appreciated all the character and amenities the place offered. The fire place, family room and kitchen were great. The cozy loft was a nice place to hang out as well. The location was convenient for us while still providing some privacy. The views were gorgeous, especially since we had snow. ”

“We had an absolutely amazing stay at this cabin! It looked exactly like the pictures, and everything exceeded our expectations. Each adult loved having their own comfortable king-size bed, and the old-school fireplaces and heating in every room added so much charm and coziness. The game room was a hit with everyone, and the outdoor hot tub was a highlight—especially at night with the stunning views. The Christmas decorations were such a thoughtful touch and really made our stay feel festive and……

“In January with no snow to play in Greer is a very, very quiet village. The winter restaurants open only from Friday-Saturday. So we brought our own food for our mid week trip. We did not get the cabin we selected since there was an electrical problem. The cabin we got was Aspen. Which was overall fine. Had a few issues we made the staff aware of. That needed fixing. But did not impact our stay so they could deal with them after we left. Not having an indoor wood fire was fine. Since the propane……

“we've stayed at the Montgomery's cabin before, and we'll keep coming back. it's a wonderful CABIN with log construction, wooden walls and ceilings, and a great woodburning fireplace. it's always clean and the hosts put up fall decorations. ”
