“The property is in a good location for Bedale and surrounding area. It is well equipped and has a fantastic garden & a very comfortable double bed. However some of the cutlery had to be washed and parking is difficult even with the permit. A new front door may give a better first impression.”

“Had a lovely stay at the cottage that felt very much like home. Absolutely beautiful views from the garden. Just wish there had been a bar b q. Perfectly situated to get out and about with a great choice of castles, waterfalls and coffee shops to visit. The host is always on hand if needed. The cottage was well equipped definitely a wonderful find”

“We found the property clean but lacking, certainly not "Superb". The decor was sparse e.g. bare light bulbs. Negatives Bathroom: no mirror, no towel rails, only one hand towel in the property for three. Kitchen: Two sets of knives & forks for three, no large glasses or wine glasses, no fire blanket/extinguisher, no downstairs smoke alarm I could spot. “Awesome little out of the way cottages, we had a simple over night stay for a birthday and the cottage was perfect. Extremely clean, looked to have just been refurbished with everything needed for a short stay. Lovely few drinks at the Bay horse infront of an open fire, with well priced excellent food. Kitchen had everything, inc. a cafetière, salt & pepper grinders, dedicated drawer of superbly sharp knives(!) & a resident kitchen spider who earnt her keep by catching a mosquito! The bed is huge - could easily fit 3 people! (Duvet cover is a bit noisy/rustles like taffeta when it moves, so light sleepers with partners prone to nocturnal limb flailing might be kept awake by this. The antique wardrobe was ace - I enjoyed the labelled shelves based on sartorial stylings……

“Well this booking was made on the whole purpose of having a relaxing weekend after running 350km for charity over the past few months. So we booked here for the hot tub and the relevant ease of running a Park Run on the Saturday. After running this Park Run we returned back to the accommodation for our day of in and out of the hot tub. Although this turned out to be turned off so we had an ice bath, not advertised on the website. We then were told that we would get a nights refund for this……
