“Great apartment to stay in! It gave my friends and I some extra space and rooms compared to getting a hotel. Was also less expensive than the hotel for the weekend we were staying. Theres an option to purchase parking, we chose to do street parking and had no issues with finding a spot. The 24/7 conceirge was quick and very responsive. Would definitely stay here again.”

“This loft was exactly what I needed—peaceful, spacious, and full of character. The building has that old Detroit charm with big windows, exposed brick, and the most incredible old-school elevator I’ve ever used. “We walked in and were BLOWN AWAY!!! It is a VERY SPACIOUS apartment in the most fabulous location. The bedrooms and main living areas were decorated nicely ~ all basics were provided ~ the cleanliness was beyond that of any hotel ~ and made us feel more than "at home," in an amazing historical Detroit building. It's aging a big and could use some updates regarding shower tile, etc, but very comfortable and a good location for our needs.We were unable to do laundry in the common area, as no key was available as described. Also, 2 people opened our door, not knowing we were there at the time. This was the property manager (not the VRBO people) wanting to show the super cute place to a possible renter. That was disconcerting, but not the VRBO's fault. That's it for now!!”

“Jeff was an excellent host. Extremely responsive. Made our group of 4 feel very welcome. He provided a brief history of the mansion/Upper unit. The location was perfect for a short/safe 10 min walk to Ford Field. Comerica Park and Little Ceasars Arena are even closer. Walking distance to several restaurants and bars. The Whitney House Upper Unit had a lot of character, charm, plenty of space and was very clean. We will absolutely stay at the Whitney House again for our next overnight visit……
