Close to Yosemite

Great location to Yosemite National Park. Close to stores. Great staff and all the comfronts of home. Full Kitchen, plates, pots, pans. Will book it again.

Spacious rental house

Stayed in one of the rental houses, which was spacious. Location was good for visiting Yosemite. Cleanliness of the property could be improved, but was going to be addressed. Didn't use the hotel, but it looked nice and reception staff friendly.

Great location near Yosemite

Loved the vacation rental that we stayed in; had three comfortable bedrooms. It is pet friendly which is a huge plus although we didn't bring a dog this time. The rental was on the golf course of a gated community; it was so lovely to sit on the deck in the morning sipping coffee and watching the deer on the fairway. Very quiet location but very close to town.

Very nice, would stay again

I am very particular about my hotel stays. We stayed at the off property house not even 5 minutes from the hotel (Saffron). I was very pleasantly surprised with our reservation. 3 bedrooms, living room, full kitchen (only used the fridge) & 2 full baths. It was very clean, had nice views, was quiet, even with someone in the other attached unit, we never saw or heard them. The staff at check in at the hotel were very helpful and pleasant. It was perfect for our few days while we explored Yosemite. It's about a 20 minute drive to the park entrance, and then depending on where you are going, took almost 2 hours to get to Glacier Point so plan accordingly.

This house is a great place for 6 friends to stay. First, the location is good. It is about 1.5 hours' drive to the valley. The neighborhood is great: you can find gas station, food markets, restaurants and even post office. Two markets open until around 10:00 pm, so you can always find food even if you come back late. It feels very safe to stay in this residential area. Second, the house is well furnished and equipped. You can cook if you want, it has enough cutlery and cookware. Two big balconies are great places to enjoy stars at night. The first floor has one big bedroom and one bathroom, and the second floor has two bedrooms, living room, kitchen and one bathroom. Each bedroom has very good sunshine during the daytime. It feels very nice. Staying in this house for Yosemite trip is a good memory for us. Thanks~

Great place to stay. The gated community was so quiet and safe. The wild deer were so great. Would have loved to have stayed longer

Hotel Charlotte

My husband and I and our 3 kids stayed at one of the houses associated with the Hotel. They should take better pictures of their houses. It is much nicer than it looks online. The rooms were clean and comfortable, a little tired, but overall very nice. The kitchen is very clean and accommodating. The staff were very friendly and helpful; the hotel itself and the small town very charming and historic. We stayed in Groveland because of the proximity to Yosemite and some other tourist sites. It is about an hour to Yosemite Valley and less than an hour to Columbia State Park. My kids loved the old gold mining town and of course Yosemite. The drive through the old gold mining towns to Columbia made for a fun day.

Not hotel but apartment stay

For much less than the cost for a hotel room, my husband, daughter and l got a 3 bedroom apartment to stay in with full kitchen. Nothing fancy but met all our needs. Just wish it had been in walking distance of Groveland, instead of overlooking a golf course. However it was very quiet which was nice.

Cute cottage outside and could be cute inside.

Old cottage, lacks furniture and what there is, is old and dingy. Carpets are dirty, bathrooms faucets are rusting. But, cottage is spacious and the view from the front porch is awesome.
