Beach Cottage - Amazing Beach Location! Walk to the beach!

This is a classic beach cottage at it's best! Enjoy a relaxing vacation in this quaint cottage close to everything Gulf Shores has to offer. Located in the heart of Gulf Shores in close proximity to the popular Hangout and newly improved Gulf Place. Public beach access is a short, easy walk - about a block away across the street (light and crosswalk). Restaurants, ice cream shops, mini golf, shopping, and other Gulf Shores attractions located just blocks away. Gulf State Park Fishing Pier 1 mile away. The cottage is 2 bedroom/1 bath and accommodates 4 guests. Fully equipped kitchen. Outdoor grill. Washer and Dryer. 2 smart tv's. There is a beach market across the street for last minute items. Pets considered (up to 2 dogs) with owner's prior approval and fee.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

* Free guest parking - room to park 2 vehicles on site.
* Amenities include: free Wi-Fi, 2 smart tv's (no cable), outdoor deck, charcoal grill.
* Linens come furnished, but please bring your own beach towels.
* Guests receive a “starter pack” of laundry detergent, one trash bag per trash can, one roll paper towels/toilet paper, and travel-sized soaps in bathroom.

* Must be at least 25 years old to book.
* Check-in is 4 p.m. or later. (no exceptions)
* Check-out by 10 a.m. (you will be charged if you stay in the property later than 10 a.m.)
* A full list of our rules and regulations is contained in our Vacation Rental Agreement, which you will agree to upon booking.

The house was perfect for the two of us, who came to do an overnight job in the area. The only issues were that we ran out of trash bags during our ostay and in the daytime, we had trouble sleeping due to the active construction going on next door. However, it’s close to the beach and all the stores you’ll need are within walking distance.

Property owner is a “10” and a pleasure to rent from. Property is simple but more than adequate for two senior citizens ages 81 & 78 and their pet dog Joy. Our second year to spend a week each time and this year was even better than the first. Excellent location. Health permitting, we hope to return.

When we entered the house there was an awful grinding noise coming from the fridge. Since we checked in late, we messaged the host and asked them to look into it the next day. Later the next day, we received a message from the host that said they can't fix it during our stay, but the fridge is cooling. Now you should know that the fridge is adjacent to the main living area so this noise made using the living area unbearable. I messaged the host that the news was disappointing & asked if we could get some sort of compensation for the noise and inconvenience. We NEVER heard back from the host again on this topic - even after two more attempts. With poor communications skills like this, the host does NOT deserve Premier Host status..

I loved the location and the house. Living room and kitchen is a little small, but perfect for a small amount of people. Only complaint is that the tv in the living room kept malfunctioning, and I had to restart it several times.

Overall property was very nice for the price. The dining area is too small for 4 people. Short walk to the beach. We would definitely stay there again if we go back to Gulf Shores. Only negative, trash trucks were noisy bright and early every morning.
