Couldn’t get our doors to open with key. No towels in pool area. Not very well lit coming back at night. No food or bar on property. Had to ask for more shampoo and toilet paper.

This is not one of the newer motels but it is a good one. I love that it’s immediately across the street from the beach. The breakfast is good and having a place to get ice cream on premises is an added benefit.

When we arrived at the hotel, no staff was available. An away sign was up. After a good bit of time passed, we put our luggage back in the car and walked to the beach. You cannot see the beach due to condo buildings, but it is directly across the street. That and the easy parking are the only reasons I might stay here again. We returned to find the nice desk clerk looking very ill. Someone should have relieved her. We did not see another staff person anywhere that evening. We entered our room to find the TV blaring and bathroom fan on. It felt like someone had been hanging out there. The furniture was a bit past its prime. The size of the refrigerator was great for a beach stay, but the light flickered inside. There was a large hole at the base of the sink area. Maybe it was an unfinished plumbing repair. The shower walls had someone’s long hair on all of the walls. Was the tub clean? I hope so. The water temperature and pressure were fine. The trash can had some sort of dried substance down the side. Gross. The bottom bed sheet was inside out. Had it been changed or just flipped?! The bed was comfortable. There were no washcloths. The next day we asked for some and were told that the desk didn’t have any. We were only there for the night so we just stayed. This place is retro. It is basic, which is fine for a stay where you’ll be at the beach all day. I’m not sure if it is on the way to being upgraded or just run down, but it has potential and needs help.

All of the associates were very professional at the front counter, however I would like to give a shout out especially to Christy who works the evenings, she is the one that I saw the most and she went out of her way to be very helpful during my stay.

Die Lage des Hotels ist super und fußläufig nur über die Uferstraße vom Strand entfernt. Der Poolbereich war sauber, das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer benötigen haben etwas veraltetes Mobiliar und benötigen ein Update. Der Fußboden im Zimmer war nicht sauber sondern schon schmutzig als wir ankamen als wenn dieser nach dem letzten Gast nicht nassgewischt sondern nur mal kurz gefegt wurde. Als Beachhotel aber durchaus zu empfehlen, da es einen Beachaccess direkt gegenüber des Hotels gibt. Wir werden hier wieder buchen, wenn wir in der Gegend sind.

We were only here three nights during Labor Day 2025, but Beachside was perfect for us. Access to the beach, the wonderful swimming pool, restaurants, shopping, etc, all at the hotel or a short walk away. Will I go here again? ABSOLUTELY!!!

My family stayed here for one night in Gulf shores and it was amazing. The staff was so friendly, it was affordable, basic accomodations, easy walk up the beach, lots of walkable access to shopping and dining.

For the price and location, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The beds were very comfortable and the area was fresh! The pool is 5ft with no time limit as far as I could tell. The beach was across the street but it was worth a three-minute drive to get paid parking. I would say this was the best location! In walking distance of everything!! The only cons I could say were that there was no shower curtain, and the TV (although it provided Netflix and Tubi), the menu did not quite fit the screen, and it was a bit laggy. I enjoyed my stay so much that I and went ahead and booked for next year !

Nice hotel just off the beach on the main road. Loved the swimming pool on the third floor overlooking the road, made for a lovely evening sitting area to watch people in traffic go by. Across the street from there was a Bahama Bob’s which offers a lovely happy hour and good food
